THE Little River Band? What a celebration that will be. I grew up in Powder Springs, off Florence Road on a farm and graduated from McEachern. It's a very nice little town and used to be a great place to grow up. So far according to FOX5, the fireworks are a GO at Lenox Square. .

Well, FOX5 news is on and there were tons of cancellations on the bottom crawl......lots of counties and cities. Everybody be safe out there!
-
Well I hate that for everyone. I knew we were supposed to have bad weather but I've never known Marietta to cancel. We've got caught in the rain on a lot of 4th of July's even at Lenox but I don't remember them ever canceling. Will Douglasville be cancelling? I'm just glad we don't have anything planned.
-
Ok but why?
-
Why would Marietta cancel? Their event is huge and we've gone even when it rained. Why did Villa Rica cancel?

That's why I said early on I'm waiting for the trial to see what's the truth. But honestly, I was so disappointed by the things I read in the lawsuit, and I know it doesn't mean it happened, but IF ANY of it happened, it's a shame.

I haven't read her auto-biography but according to Wiki, she had her two sons to raise and had to raise Bubba when her parents died. She suffered from panic attacks and agoraphobia, but it really doesn't address anything else, so I don't know. Maybe someone else will. I do remember hearing her say on TV one time the depression was so bad she wouldn't get out of bed for days at a time. .

I totally agree.

No one can beat Marvin but Usher does a GREAT job!

Thanks for that Dana, Usher is a baby doll and a sweet man with so much talent! He does a good job. I've got the album and CD, it can take me from sadness to happiness to tears. Those songs meant so much to at the time, and they still do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-5c5o85SGo -
I'm kinda like RM. I think she pulled the racism thing out of the air. We can all look past a little racist remark here and there. What I have a problem with is the way she allowed mistreatment of employees not only by Bubba but apparently herself. I know that's where I have the problem. .

That's what I said earlier. Pay them off to keep their mouth shut and cut ALL ties with Bubba. Hell give him the restaurant to keep HIS mouth shut. 'Cause I figure he'll turn on her. And then OTOH, how can you, as a woman, who had to struggle out of a bad marriage and through dibilitating depression, treat your workers like that. Did she forget where she came from? She's in a mess, that's for sure. .

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
-
That's what I was thinking. All the weddings cakes I see are fondant instead of the old fashioned way. Guess they hold up better.
-
So do you eat the cake part, just kinda scrape it off the fondant?
-
I can. Between my cousins and me we have over 100 acres in Alabama on the old farm. My one cousin tore my granny's house down and built him one, but it's still home. It's the same big 'ol oak trees, pecan trees, walnut trees and mimosa trees. The same sandy area where I used to play as a kid and the creek down on the bottom part. The same big rocks we used to play on and the same neighbors and farm land. Each of us has left our part to our kids, so they will have it until they sell it and by then I'll be gone and it won't matter anyway because then, I will really be home.

FROM YAHOO NEWS A single sentence, uttered in the trial of George Zimmerman for the shooting of teenager Trayvon Martin, has catapulted an issue into the national spotlight. When asked if she could read a letter in court, witness Rachel Jeantel, her head bowed, murmured with embarrassment, "I don't read cursive," ABC News reports. Is it any surprise that cursive — the looped, curvaceous style of handwriting that's been a mainstay of education for generations — is all but dead? [15 Weird Things We Do Everyday, and Why] "Cursive should be allowed to die. In fact, it's alrea

WoW! You did a great job!! I've thought about doing fondant, looked at it for a while and changed my mind. It intimidates me I've always wondered, does it taste good?

If they're like my doves (which I call country pigeons), they love bird seed and we put it on the ground for them. They are ground feeders. And make sure he has water. Like Blondie said he needs some R&R and hopefully he'll find his way back home.

Well, I'm going to ask the question again that no one answered. How does it affect all of us that are heterosexual? What rights are we losing? What rights is anyone losing?
-
That's exactly the way I saw it once I did some reading. I hate it for her, but I think she failed in her duties.
-
Yeah he really did. What I want someone to tell me is how this is affecting them. Is anyone losing their rights?
