This was the first one I've ever had and I would never let it get to that point. There's really no need to when you can go to the doctor and get it removed. Why do you say that? I got a shot, he dug the pieces out and then put several of those q-tip things in for several minutes. That's what keeps the nail from growing in wrong any more.

I loved Thanksgiving in years past when my kids were growing up and we would go to my husbands family for Thanksgiving. He had a large family and lots of folks would come. And there was always some kind of drama. I remember I would always take a gallon of tea and my trusty deviled eggs. And a cheese ball with crackers, and sometimes the sweet potato souffle, or potato salad. I remember one year my MIL dropped the turkey on her foot. Something would burn, or wouldn't be done, or forgotten. Somebody would have to run out and get ice, then maybe some more rolls, and who knows what else.

Well, in the end Sherman got his. I can't imagine the beautiful mansions that were burned. I'm just glad he didn't burn Savannah.

You are such a hard worker! and I don't know what some families would do without you. I remember I got a meal from you last year for a family that didn't have anything. They have since moved and I have no idea where they are, but you remember when you're able to help folks that don't have anything. I've always given money to you, but this year I wasn't able to, I had some things going on, but will you be doing this at Christmas? I would love to help then.

You know, mine hasn't hurt at all. Sorry you had pain with yours. If I ever get another one, I'll do it again.

Well I bathe it in Betadine and soak for 15 mins in Epsom salt. Then I pour hydrogen peroxide over it. Pat it dry with a clean gauze. Apply neosporin and a fabric bandaid. Twice a day. Per doctors instructions. I'm a clean freak and don't want an infection. LOL

LOL Sorry. But I'm doing great today. No pain. Only throbbed a little last night. Have to do my foot bath twice a day but no big deal. Besides I thought you might like the shot in the toe. LOL

Not anymore.

Well hells bells! I say that and now it's throbbing. I guess all the medicine finally wore off. Oh well, I'll take some aspirin and that should help.

No I told him I went to get my toes done before this and I told him the guy insisted but it hurt and I told him to stop and he just made a mess of it. The doctor was real nice about it and showed me all the pieces that get missed. It's amazing how much stuff can grow in your skin. And that's why they keep coming back. I'm glad I went and I'm done with this toe. If I ever get another one I'm going back to the doctor and let him take care of it! Thanks for the recommendation !! And it's not hurting yet so I'm glad about that.

Is that what you call it

So. Yesterday I go get my toes done cause I know I can't after this surgery and they needed it. So the dude says "I cut it out for you ". "But I'm going to the doctor in the morning". "No! I save you bunch of money". "I have insurance, I don't care " Well anyway, he cut and ripped up the side and got some out and cut down the other side. And you can see what's left. Plus there was some cuticle jammed down in the bottom. Just like what I read, the doc put medicine on it and something that will keep it from ever growing back. I'm just glad I went and got it took care of and w

So has anybody eaten at Rodney's for thanksgiving? Is it good?

Why? I was thinking about going, we're tired of the Marietta Diner. My husband wants to go to The Dillard House, but I told him we would need a room and spend the night after all that food!!! LOL

That's where mine is, left foot, big toe, right side. I called and got an appointment in the morning at 9:00 and I can't run the risk of an infection (hip implants). I have to pre-med with antibiotics any time I have something invasive. (pap smear, teeth cleaning, etc. etc.) Thanks all for the advice!!! I can't believe I got an appointment in the morning with Dr. Laur
