I didn't go full racist or racist of any sort. I see you are one of those people that when someone speaks the truth, you holler racism. First, look up the definition of racist, because nothing I said even eludes to racism. Racism in the inherent thought that one RACE is superior over another. What I stated was a stereotype and guess where stereotypes come from? They come from a majority of people seeing or experiencing the same thing from a specified group of people. This is what is wrong with society... any time anyone says anything, they are racist or offending someone. You obv

Sorry, but you are wrong. Please explain to me how agreeing not to do something is taking away your right? Please explain to me, where the Constitution of the United States or the Constitution of the State of Georgia, does it say that you have the *right* to park your vehicle where you please. Please show me in the Constitution where it says you have the *right* to use your property how you see fit? You, like many other people, confuse rights with privileges. You have the right to own property. You don't have the right to do with it whatever you want. Actually, a airport limo is of

Sorry, but HOA's bylaws do not violate anyone's rights. If you move in to a subdivision and there are bylaws to abide by, you either agree to those bylaws by signing a contract stating you agree to them or you don't sign it and you don't move in there. It's a condition of purchase. None of your rights have been violated. Again, even if they don't have a license, there are still other forms of transportation, other than taxi cabs. I've been in and out of Hartsfield and many many other airports in this country and I'm quite familiar with Limio's, Super Shuttles, rail services, etc.

I didn't misunderstand anything. You used an example of an eyesore. That implies that you are viewing older vehicles as being eyesores. And no, a HOA cannot tell you that you cannot park a 10 year old vehicle in your driveway. They can require that NO vehicles be permitted to park in a driveway and they can require that no "junk" vehicles be parked in your driveway. It really doesn't matter if you buy my "you always have a choice" or not. It's about personal responsibility. And someone from another country does not need an "American Drivers License" to drive in this country.

So, you're telling me anything that the city or any government deems to paint an unfavorable picture for itself, it should ban or restrict? Please tell me then why more cities don't clean themselves up. Most major inner city areas are filthy and run down. The governments role in society is not to determine what makes themselves look good. If the government wanted to protect their image, they could do a hell of a lot more than worry about a 10 year old taxi. The government is supposedly concerned about the cleanliness of their air. But again, your argument is invalid. If that was th

A 10 year old vehicle is a safety issue? Sorry, but not hardly. There are plenty of vehicles out there that are over 10 years old that are A LOT safer than some vehicles made just this year. If you want to ensure safety of the vehicle, you need to propose safety inspections, just like is done in many states. Georgia even did this many years ago. If this is such a safety issue, are you telling me that you would refuse to ride or own any vehicle over 10 years old because it's likely not as safe as a new one? Your comparison to the health department is not valid. Do you think t

Yes, you most certainly do get to decide which taxi you take. If you call a taxi and a piece of crap shows up that you don't feel comfortable riding in, you simply don't get in it and tell the taxi driver why you refuse his service. You call the dispatcher and tell them the same thing and you request them send you another taxi or you call another service. There is absolutely nothing that says you have to get in to the vehicle.

And what business is it of the government what your expenses are? If the cost of doing business increases, the price to the customer increases. If there is no gouging going on, it's none of the governments business what a business charges. We operate on the free market economy. That means the customers decide where they do business and how much of that business they will utilize, NOT the government. Yes, after the 10 year mark, some items likely will need to be replaced on a vehicle, but with regular maintenance, that can be a hell of a lot less expensive than replacing with a n

One thing everyone needs to understand is that we are responsible for our own security, period. You should NEVER rely on anyone for the security of yourself. No matter where you are or what you are doing, be aware of your surroundings and think ahead. Think about where you can go, what you can do, to avoid a situation, should one arise. There is no one on earth that you can rely on more than yourself.
-
Yep, you are correct. But in a case like this where someone is focused on killing or seriously injuring another person, desire, opportunity, and ability do not change. Like I said, all that would have happened had there been armed security guards inside, which the employee would have known, is that the employee would have taken the opportunity at another location, such as the parking lot. The three factors you mentioned apply more towards someone stealing a snickers bar or an nonviolent act. Someone hell bent on creating a violent act will do it and if they can't, they will wait until

I know this is an emotional event for you and you are beyond mad that some nutcase did this, but no, FedEx is not giving a false sense of security to anyone. The employee's that work there know the security guards aren't armed and anyone with the slightest level of intelligence knows that an unarmed security guard, police officer, military person, or citizen has absolutely NO change of fighting someone with a firearm. I have NEVER walked in to any place that has security guards that are unarmed and thought, "Wow, I'm safe here..."
-
Doubtful. An evil person with intent to do evil will do just that. Having armed security or any other security at FedEx likely wouldn't have prevented anything. If he couldn't make entry, he would have likely sat in the parking lot until shift change or end of business and took the shots then.

That is really a silly and unfair statement. What company isn't worried about theft from their employees? What happened is a rare circumstance and to say they are not worried about the safety of their employees is silly. iHOP, Publix, nor CVS employ armed guards at their stores. Does that mean they aren't concerned with their employee's safety? No, it doesn't. It means that in normal circumstances (which is 99.999% of the time) there is no cause for an armed security person to be on hand. Evil people do evil things and most of the time unpredictably.

uh... it wasn't to prevent sin. It was to pay for the forgiveness of sin.

The law was revised somewhere in the late 80's or early ninety's. No, it wasn't due to anyone getting ticketed while enjoying a beverage. It was simply in a bill to clarify the and change the wording to "driving under the influence." It was previously worded, "drinking and driving" and while it was never enforced outside of alcohol & drugs, it legally could have been. Therefore, the law was clarified and the wording changed. None of that, however, trumps you blatantly lying and misrepresenting the previous or existing laws. For someone who is seeking public office, I would think

Pubby, the only perverted thing here is your complete lie and bullcheeze description of the law. Your knowledge of firearm laws is just as bad as your knowledge of the firearms themselves. Not only that, you flat out lie about HB 60. First, no, it doesn't make guns legal everywhere. Second, before this law, it was already legal to stand 151 ft from a polling location, with a legally possessed firearm. Third, guns in bars was also not previously illegal. Fourth, the second paragraph of the link you posted is also misleading. "Two areas are likely to spark some controversy.

New Law Bill Sent To Georgia's Governor For His Approval

You are really reaching there, Pubby. Try the legal definition of "Carry" since that is what the police, prosecutor, and judge/jury will be using when you tell them the Websters doesn't define "carry" the same way the law does. See where that gets you. -

Awww.. you must be crying because I ignored your previous post. So, you don't feel so bad... let me respond to this one. Like the rational thought of a proclaimed atheist bitching and moaning about church going people having the permission to carry in their place of worship, where an atheist will not be in attendance? In a place that has absolutely no concern to an atheist? Yeah, that is a rational thought process. Actually, Pubby... I NEVER said there wasn't training. I said that **I** don't teach school aged children. Good God, can you people not comprehend English? -

Yes, I am a certified instructor. No, I have no moral objection to teaching a child how to be responsible and shoot a firearm. I have never been asked to teach a child. No moral objection... First, I teach street and home defense. Not too many children are going to be signing up for that class. Second, you're putting words in my mouth again. I never said that I didn't have an issue with kids having guns. And on the matter of grade school kids carrying guns, no I am not for it. #1. It's against the law. Period. There is a legal age in which a person has the right to posses -

First, I suggest you look up the definition of "culture" because you apparently know not of what it means. Second, please stop putting words in my mouth. I have NEVER said that I don't believe in teaching kids to shoot. Again, this is why you have no credibility in a conversation like this... -

No, I have never taught a grade school kid to shoot a gun. Nobody said there wasn't a boundary between kids and guns.. and it isn't "my" culture. You're just either too damn stupid or hard headed to see the difference between someone teaching a child how to shoot, respect, and use a firearm in a proper way vs. telling them they need to carry a gun to school with them. It's the ignorance and stupidity of that type of thought that gives you no credibility in discussions like this. You keep trying to put words in what I say and you have NO CLUE as to what my stance is... You have no -

You're a damned idiot if you think I would have grade school kids carrying firearms. No, I would not. I have never said I would and never implied that I would. You like to put words in peoples mouth to suit your agenda. You won't be doing that with me... I have no problem calling you out on it. Constitutional rights don't come from paying taxes. They are inherited by the mere virtue of being an American citizen. If you don't like it, move to another country. -

It has absolutely nothing to do with etiquette in church or what you believe should be happening in church. It has to do with the Constitution. It is currently the law that you cannot take a firearm in to a place of worship, period. The church is a private organization on private property and the government cannot make a law that restricts an otherwise open Constitutional right. It's not a publicly owned government facility or a place where government officials actively preside, therefore the law is not Constitutional. The bill that passed the house and senate and is now waiting for -
Where are you buying your fuel? With all the rain we've had and the constant temperature fluctuations, it's quite possible there are water in the underground tanks. Most of the newer stations will have tanks with monitoring systems that keep track of temperature and moisture content of the gasoline and they use fiberglass and plastic tanks. Older stations have metal tanks and during periods of high rain and drastic temperature changes, like we've had recently, the tanks have condensation form inside and now you have water in your fuel. Many of the older tanks do not have moni
