The old lady brought up some memories of my youth. My first job was at the corner store I was 14 and worked 3 days a week after school sorting bottles for the delivery guy to pick up. The store was a over a mile from our house and I never give it a second thought walking to work. I was a bag boy (paper) after school at a grocery store at age 16 and rode the 3 miles on my bike until I had saved up enough to buy my first car. But the young folks are right about how the planet is being polluted but they need to look in the mirror if they want to meet a coconspirator in the crime. Last week I

I am noticing a noticeable absence of the usual crowd on this thread. I guess their usual fare of insults, snide remarks and general nastiness would only go to prove the OP's point.

And that maybe the solution. When you're through you will have to kill all those whose brother, mother sister daughter you killed via "collateral damage" because they are going to want their an eye for an eye. Then you can start on every psychopath sitting in his basement whose voices in his head is telling him God wants him to be the next Martyr. In for a penny in for a pound. -

And you think that's going to intimidate someone that's already willing to strap a bomb around his waist or blow himself up in a car full of TNT ? Someone whose greatest ambition in life is to die in martyrdom. -
You keep saying that enough and maybe people will start to believe it. But minus some five hundred year Krakatoa like event it is simply just bull shhhhhhhh-eet. This argument that human-caused carbon emissions are merely a drop in the bucket compared to greenhouse gases generated by volcanoes has been making its way around the rumor mill for years. And while it may sound plausible, the science just doesn't back it up. According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the world’s volcanoes, both on land and undersea, generate about 200 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) annually, while

So El Z the larger question is how many troops should we commit to these wars ? And unless we are willing to commit our young men to a lifetime of war with multiple deployments we are going to need a bigger Army. Maybe we can reinstate the draft, and our already overburdened veterans hospital system will certainly need to be expanded to take care of the wounded. Maybe all the armchair generals calling for revenge in these god forsaken hell holes are ready to step up to the plate and join the fight ? Or here's an idea the next time we decide to overthrow some two bit dictator we stop fo
