  2. There is no way you can spend 43 million dollars on a gas station that does not involve corruption, theft and fraud. But they keep holding out their hands and in some kind of perverted sense of patriotic duty the American taxpayer keeps filling them up to the tune of 615 Billion dollars a year which some in Washington want us to believe is still not enough.
  3. I'm just curious have you ever been part of a discussion where you resisted the opportunity to be a jerk ?
  4. And the "conservative" Republican wants to add another 60 billion to the Military's budget. 'World's Most Expensive Gas Station' Cost Taxpayers $43MAmerican taxpayers are on the hook for a $43 million gas station constructed in Afghanistan -- a price tag that’s about $42.5 million higher than it should’ve been, and the Department of Defense can’t explain why, according to a new government report. http://news.yahoo.com/worlds-most-expensive-gas-station-cost-taxpayers-43m-192617422--abc-news-topstories.html

  6. And a whole hell of a lot of it specially what is going on in the Middle East is and always will be Bush's fault and eight, ten or twenty years will not change that. Any rational person with a sense of history knows nothing good has ever come from a Republican.
  7. I'll say this unlike new ideas and solutions the conservative bag of excuses is never empty.
  8. The Fed board members are appointed by the US President and approved by the Senate. That is the only control the US government has over the Fed. Otherwise it is a private, unaudited bank that has the unique ability to print money.
  9. Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence. John Adams
  10. Real conservatism, you means the liars, bigots and racist that hide behind the mantle of conservatism ? The same that discount all ideas, science, equality and progress as Liberal hogwash, the same that side with big business over the the health of the planet, prefer profits of pharmaceuticals over the health of people and would rather have a new war plane than a new bridge or highway, those real Conservatives ?
  11. The day that this country comes to recognize the four letter word that conservatism has come to represent the better off we will all be.
  12. So basically the Cop was just trying to beat some sense into her and when had her out of the chair with a choke hold and then threw her across the room that was just a little "tough love" . Got it. Speaking of tough love did you happen to read this article today ? AP: Hundreds of cops lose licenses over sex misconduct OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Flashing lights pierced the black of night, and the big white letters made clear it was the police. The woman pulled over was a daycare worker in her 50s headed home after playing dominoes with friends. She felt she had nothing to hide, so when t
  13. Oh yes, throwing a troubled child across the room is as we all know the best way to set someone straight. And if it were your little girl in the video you would be the first to congratulate the cop for a job well done. But he did do her a favor as a foster child that six figure settlement she is about to receive will surely give her more than just a "fighting chance". All for what disrupting the class ? No, she refused to put away a cell phone.
  14. It's a failure of a lot of things but not the legal system. "In an interview with the New York Daily News, Rutherford also said that the student is a recent orphan who lost her mother and is currently living in a foster home." http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/assaulted-student-is-a-recent-orphan-living-in-foster-care_5631493be4b00aa54a4ca771
  15. It's the same old story every year, I buy two bags of candy just in case, then end up having to force myself to eat it all. Luckily I have learned from past experience to only get the good stuff so that my sacrifice is a little more tolerable. Oh the pain, the pain.
  16. There really is no excuse for the girls behavior but I wonder if this sort of thing would ever happen in an upscale neighborhood or at a school like say Paces Academy where the child's father might be a Judge or some high powered lawyer. The sad thing is the taxpayer will end up footing the bill in the form of a large legal settlement and I'm sure the lawyers are already lining up at the door of this kids parents home for a chance to get in on the action.

  20. With control of both Houses all the Republicans have managed to accomplish is a government shutdown and seven Benghazi investigations so as far as solutions go the bar has been set pretty low. So basicly if the Democrats can agree on whats for lunch they would have accomplished more than the other side of the aisle.
  21. Surprised you have not found someone by now 550 for a furnished apartment w/utilities is a pretty darn good price these days.
