I have called them and they have said it is 140 bucks. When you don't even have that much to your name, you know you can't afford it and there are people worse off than me. They need the community funds more than me.

I can't take money from those who need it far more than me. For instance I need to see a gynecologist badly, I can't afford it. So I don't go.

Autism...what I need to know, and who can tell me?

I wouldn't worry, but that is just me. I have Aspergers and didn't speak until I was 3. I was too smart to let the adults know That I knew what was really going on. The only problem now, is I never shutup. Enjoy the silence while it lasts. -
I would not force anyone else to pay for me. As such, I am a rather careful person.

If you have health insurance, thank your lucky stars that you do. I have not had it for 2 years so if something catastrophic happens, you will be reading my obituary.

Studies: Ga. part of new, deadly 'tornado alley'

Took them long enough, I knew this back in 1995. -
Bring back public be-headings.

Administrative Assistant/Dispatcher/Scheduler, I have been in medical, IT and customer service fields with this.

At least it will be entertaining between umpteen job applications and no call backs. Since I moved back to Georgia I have yet to see a good employer to give me an interview or a job.
-
I didn't get that job, and I found another 2 weeks later. Other than the low pay, there were no warning signs at all. Apparently, Georgia employers are crooks.
-
Yes, that is me, that was the supposed to be the job and then they didn't hire me and 2 weeks later I found the job that I was just let go from.
-
It is possible, but they should pay more if they want more experience. And, Crap.

Ma'am, I know how much I made and I know what they required and if I could find the find the job posting again so you could see, I would post it for you. As far as advancement, they said there was room for it, but when they get rid of you so they don't have to pay benefits, they lied. When you have no one to depend on, there is no time to have no job. It is better to have that crappy, minimum wage job. I will look into the store re-build in the morning. Is it on the DOL website or do they want you to go into the store? Every job I apply for or do is worth my time and effort, if it

First off you have responded to me in those particular topics, I am just going pretend you forgot. I was employed at an IT company doing that. as far as dispatching, I would dispatch computer techs to on-site locations to fix issues. I don't need to look up anything as I know the pay range. Pay range for such an employee no matter what field is between 25k and 40k a year with the average being about 33k. I was making less than half the average and I am far from average. I go above and beyond in every job I have had and will continue to do so as I don't believe in doing a half-assed job.

It is not the first time that I have mentioned on this forum what I do but I will humor you. I am an Administrative Assistant/Dispatcher/Scheduler at an IT company. I have 8+ years doing that. Most positions want minimum 0-2 years in any field, medical, construction, IT, so on and so forth.

I have laid out all of the circumstance and did not leave anything out. Yet you can't make an informed comment with all the information laid out. Ok. I am glad that you can turn these employers down. I am glad you are at a position that you can do that and not worry about going hungry or homeless. Obviously, you are a superior being to me in every way and I should bow and scrape to your majesty (now I am being a sarcastic beotch). BTW, how dare you say anything about my reading comprehension skills when yours have much to be desired and your spelling skills are atrocious. Let us not e

You go and lay out your specifics and then say mine are irrelevant and not worth knowing...Whatever dude. Please go and live in the real world because honestly, you don't seem to. When you have nothing, and no one to fall back on, you take what you can fricking get even if it is low pay and crappy hours. I am glad you have never had to do that and good luck on never having to do that. If I had a job I would be able to go back to school and learn a new trade, but alas, what is the issue I have, oh yah NO JOB. Have you looked at how high unemployment is? The market is saturated with

I am not being defensive at all. I am simply daring you to turn down a job, a gift horse in the mouth when you have absolutely nothing. For the record, my parents would not allow me to have a job in high school but after that, I did work almost full time the entire time I was in college (7 years), so please do not give me that crap. I too had to pay for books, tuition, car insurance, gas, repairs, and living expenses. The only thing I didn't have to pay for was a car as I was borrowing one. I did not get tuition reimbursement, nor did I get any scholarships. I also did not have HOPE

I dare you have 100 bucks in your bank account, no unemployment, no one to turn to for help and turn down the job. I DARE YOU. Blondieaga, Last time I had to job hunt it took me 8 months to a find a job. Every interview I put my best foot forward and came away feeling I had done a spectacular job and would get the position. So ya, I am a bit jaded.
-
Yup that was the intention, but since I was full-time and it was time to start shelling out benefits...they get rid of you. This is most likely going to become a common occurrence. Then you don't make enough in the base period and get denied unemployment to help you get to the next hump. Anywho, I have to go to my third interview this week...another interview that will never turn into a job.
-
Ok, then what is your take on a job that requires 5 years of experience and they won't pay more than minimum wage and you have no money and have to accept that?

I shop for Ramen. Too poor for anything else.

My brother and I took over shoveling snow for a 90 year old man in Indiana when we had that blizzard at Christmas time. He lived alone and had no one. We saw him out our front window.

Obviously, former member does not live in reality. Jobs are disappearing.

Restored Payroll Tax Pinches Those Who Earn the Least

I had a better paying job then, my bills have neither increased nor decreased. I make less than half what I did thanks to the economy.
