And it's not going to cost us a dime..........woooo hoooo we gonna get rich and not have to pay any new taxes and everyone will have GOOD PAYING JOBS. No more flipping burgers :yahoo: Wait, will they close the McDonalds since they won't have any workers.........Yikes!!

Should keep all the poo from washing down the hill into the subvidision. :yahoo:

Bottom line is Propeller Investments has never had a successful business venture. They were voted down by two other counties because they have accountability to their citizens. The old checks and balances thing. It's time we make the Airport Authority and the Industrial Building Authority accountable for their actions. The common thread between this group and the old regime is indeed Blake Swafford.

See you are wrong, there are people at those meetings and they are being filmed. All of them. Also keep in mind the meetings are held during the day when most people are working for a living. You know to feed their families. Yes if we had a real local news media, they could do this and share it with the public. As it stands now, we don't.

Weird, I noticed that last night and it was back on when I went by about 1:00. Wonder what that was about?

Austin wasn't truthful about those emails, Todd never got an email about the airport goings on. I've seen the proof. The email Austin was waving was an invitation to a lunch meeting that Todd couldn't make because he had other commitments. Why didn't Austin show anyone what he was waving? An open records request as suggested by Mr. Austin did indeed show no such email exists. So until David Austin can produce that email, I'm believing what I've seen.

Nothing new to me there, sounds like Blake was saying back then it was going to make money and provide jobs. Yes, why yes he was. Still nothing about Propeller Investments?

Respect is two way, you try to fool me, lie to me or deliberately do something that effects my quality of life then tell me I have no say in any of it, you bet your bippy I'm going to let you know how I feel. If this was indeed a good joint business venture, there should have been a presentation made to the citizens with all that information, a business plan and a roll out of what should happen when. The proof is in the details, not secrets. As you so often point out there are professinal people that do live here and have a basic understanding of how business works. I'm thinking ther

I have the bio from their website, don't bother with that. When you click on the link for an airport, there is nothing but their Briscoe sign in screen. I want to see what other airports they are running or have run successfully and how much money those airports made. I want to see what we've invested in, we're in too deep unless there is a legal loophole to get out of this mess.

And in a court of law that would be considered heresay, not admissible. Yet you and several others not only believe this but are spreading the lie. That's plain and simple GOSSIP. So if I were you I'd be very careful about spreading that GOSSIP. Todd Pownall's trust is not the one that should be in question. Perhaps the people that applauded for Todd (many more than 10) know and understand he genuinely cares about them. I'm waiting on the particulars, been waiting, will be waiting and praying the taxpayers are not on the hook for another debacle as the courthouse, the

See if you understand this.............from what we've seen, what little information has been provided, google searches of Propeller Investments returns no information about other successes, two other counties in Georgia told them, "No Thanks" and you expect us to believe it's going to make money. There is no proof this costly endeavor will even work, no airlines are committed, can't get any indication what businesses "might" be interested........Nothing, nada, zilch. You expect us to believe this when you can't even back it up? The commissioners either choose not to back up the cla

Duh, I knew that. I apologize for the error..........here is a complete list of the board members. So much information, so much turmoil, keeping it all straight is a mess. http://www.pauldingairport.com/?q=board-members

I understand that, but it doesn't make it right. The rest are appointed by the Chair of the BOC.

Silver Comet Terminal, LLC and Silver Comet Partners are both registered with the SOS's office. Most of those houses were there before the airport. The elementary school also was. As I said the Atlanta property is about 2-3 miles from where the airport sits now. Those people in Clear Creek had no clue a runway was going to back up to their subdivision.

Yes David Carmichael did vote on all the airport with the Airport Authority. However, he was a no show at the Commissioner Meeting for the bond. ^^^ This was incorrect information, sorry. See my post #26 below.

Can anybody help here? Bueller, Pubby, LPPT, Animal? Have we been bamboozled?
-
Perhaps you can point me in the right direction. I cannot find any information on Propeller Investments and successful endeavors. What I saw was it was merely and investment firm with one pilot, Brett Smith running the airline show. Can you please give me a link to some of their background and other airports they manage? Google is not my friend on this.

Our elected officials have been doing this for years. Run for office and you can do it, too.

I've heard a couple a week, no one knows for sure..........not even the guy that's taking over the airport. He has no commitments yet. Well unless it's a secret or maybe discretion or maybe even deception. ~~shrug~~ My question is how can a couple of flights a week support the airport??
-
What kind of manufacturing? You realize employees all will have to pass Federal background and drug checks. The FAA and TSA will be involved. They will control much of the airport. And then there is this, Susan Wilkins talked about it last night. It's called a Feasibility Study, something Propeller Investments or the Airport Authority didn't do or pay attention to. http://www.atlanta-a...6/business2.htm Another link from 2011: http://travel.usatoday.com/flights/post/2011/05/atlanta-second-airport/172226/1

Feelip, it's much more than the airport. It's cronyism, nepotism and corruption than needs to be looked at. The Airport Authority has complete control of what is supposed to be the salvation of the county. No one can even challenge their decisions. The AA, the IBA and the Commissioners are almost all the same people. That needs to change. Now for the people that live within a stone's throw of that airport, the original Property bought by Atlanta was a little further East and South of where that subdivision sits. As a matter of fact that 10,000 acres is in an unpopulated area becaus
-
Well some may come from this area, others not so much. If it's secured by the TSA everyone will have to undergo a Federal background check. I'm thinking many just won't pass that and the drug test.
