Are Our Colleges Still Dumbing Down American Students?
Foxmeister replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
You realize that was a high school, not a college; not that it makes much difference today with these young people. -
She'll lose.

Why don't you ask Thad how much his insurance didn't cover and how will he pay for it?

The middle-class is hurt the most by ObamaCare because of rising deductibles and out of pocket costs. Many of the are no longer seeing doctors like they used to, and many are forgoing prescriptions because the deductibles for those have increased significantly as well since the implementation of ObamaCare. Sure more people have health insurance today, but it's not near as good as what they had prior to ObamaCare. This reform has screwed over the middle-class big time. Liberals always claim the Democratic Party is all for the middle-class. Yea right. Tell us another damn lie.

Isn't it how amazing it is when a Republican went to an Ivy League school, someone on the left will automatically assume it's because he came from wealth and privilege? Then at the same time, they forget about the liberal politicians like Gore.

The ObamaCare lies like, if you like your current health care plan, you can keep it? How did that work out for everyone who liked the plan they had, but lost them because they didn't meet the minimum coverage requirements ObamaCare mandated, but individuals didn't need? The only thing affordable about ObamaCare are the premiums, but the deductibles and co-insurance make it more unaffordable in comparison to what many already had. People are better off taking what they would be spending on premiums and putting the money instead in an HSA. The Democrats lied through their asses on how great

Many foreign companies i.e. Toyota, Mercedes, BMW, Hyundai, Kia, Honda, Nissan, Volkswagen, etc. have been manufacturing in the US for years now and continue to add jobs. The majority of their manufacturing operations are located in right-to-work states because of the availability of labor and to avoid unions. Before LLPT can make the accusation they are paying low wages, let's take a look at some of them. Here's the pay band for hourly production workers at the KIA plant in Georgia: $15 to $23.35 an hour. The average hourly rate is $18.54. Source. Now let's compare that to the curr

Your post is a sorry attempt to downplay the lies Obama has told that are listed on Politifact. Need I remind you that you said earlier, "There is nothing more harsh than a lie." I guess you left off, "unless it's told by a Democrat."

It went way over your head. Of course you, CC, Pubby, and others who support giving amnesty to illegals are part of the problem.
-
He apparently thinks Democrats don't lie. I used politifact to find the pants on fire lies some Democrats have told a few posts above. Obama has told a lot of lies.
-
The US had illegal immigration problems that were in existence as a result of many of the reasons you addressed when Eisenhower took office. Here's an interesting article on how he addressed it and the results. I see no reason why this couldn't be done today.

One way to help with jobs in this country is to enforce our immigration laws and force illegal immigrants to leave on their own.

Forum On Fox News Channel Reached A Stunning 24 Million Viewers

That was the number of people who tuned in to watch the debates to hear what the candidates had to say. It will be interesting to see how many people tune in to CNN in October to watch the debate between Democratic candidates. -
You really give too much credit to the influence of Fox News. The reason why McCain got the Republican nomination is the same reason Hillary lost the Democratic nomination. She had a commanding lead in the polls and her supporters were overconfident she would secure the nomination easily. Instead of voting in the Democratic primaries, they instead voted in the Republican primaries for who the Democrats thought was the weakest Republican candidate, McCain. Fox didn't influence voters to make Romney the nominee either as there were no real strong Republican candidates.

Matthew Cooke: How to Race Bait.

I thought the answer was obvious LPPT. Where you have the highest concentrations of people, you will have more crime occurring. I used Atlanta as an example as it had 4 of the 25 most dangerous neighborhoods according to ABC News in 2010. Look at the demographics of those neighborhood, which include more than race and you see why crime is high there. The people who get commit crimes, get arrested for those crimes, and convicted of those crimes go to prison. Those neighborhoods are full of unemployed people who live in poverty. Those conditions also result having a higher percentage of ad -
Do you think Fox chose Romney and McCain? Now that right there is funny as hell.

The majority of crime takes place in urban areas, which makes sense because it is these areas that have the greatest populations. In Atlanta 54% of the population is black, while 38% is white. I'm sure the Atlanta PD has statistics available that shows the crime stats for different areas in the city. Here's a news story ABC News did in 2010 news report, America's 25 Most Dangerous Neighborhoods. Atlanta had 4 neighborhoods on that list, with 2 being in the top 10. Those neighborhoods are: #5 - Carter Street #7 - Marietta Street #17 - Richardson Street #22 - Humphries Street SW -
Under the rules of the debate, if one candidate mentions another candidate's name, the candidate mentioned gets a 30 second rebuttal. I predict Trump will get the most time because some of the candidates will most likely call him out on some things he has said. That would be a poor move on their part.
