22 years working in a grocery store and I can't tell you the number of times I've seen kids wandering alone, left alone in a buggy, INFANTS left unattended in a buggy, kids standing up in the seat part of the buggy with it about to tip over and no parent around, purse's left OPEN and alone in a buggy while the woman is off looking at something........honestly, it's a wonder there aren't more crimes in stores.

5 Signs It May be the Flu and Not a Cold
Blondiega1 replied to Coppertop's Pop's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Every year we're told to get a flu shot. Every year millions still get the flu despite the flu shot. I ain't super smart, but I do alright and it seems to be this whole "flu shot" thing ain't really working out for us. -
How sad. Wishing him the best. #ForeverADiamondGirl

We went this past friday. Food is very good and it's a wonderful change from the normal drudgery around here. They do have some service level issue that I hope will smooth out with time.

Seriously? Attacking her weight is a low blow.

I've read some stories that some of her family consider her to be very racist. Take it with a grain of salt.

Exactly. Sashimi is thinly sliced raw meat—usually fish, such as salmon or tuna—that is served without rice. Sushi is not raw fish, but rather vinegared rice that is mixed with other ingredients, which may or may not include raw fish. Nigiri is a hand-formed ball of rice, with a slice of fish over the top. Maki is a type of roll in which the seaweed wrap is on the outside of the roll. So that's more than you ever wanted to know about sushi.

Chitterlins. Also, for those with a sushi aversion, not all sushi is raw. A good bit of it is cooked. So you might consider trying it.

We bought this mattress and put a down comforter on it. It's not an oversized down comforter, so I can't help with that part. It's like sleeping in a marshmellow. Seriously do NOT want to get out of bed in the morning. Pop up. Super easy and pretty. I ordered a 7/12 foot white and gold one for this year. Putting up the big tree is just too dang much work anymore.

Me too. These things have been going on a very long time.

Sometimes you have to ask yourself, "Do you want to be right, or do you want to have peace?" I'm opting for peace.

Please think before you get your next flu shot

I've only got a flu shot once. Kroger was offering them free for management, so I thought "why not?" My arm swelled up terribly and I was sick as a dog. I was so worried that I was going to be dealing with this on my wedding day to Papi. Thankfully it passed and makeup covered the red swelling on my arm. -
Could a combo of OTC pain killers be as effective as opiods?
Blondiega1 replied to gpatt0n's topic in RECENT TOPICS
As someone with chronic knee pain in both knees from osteoarthritis, this scares the hell out of me. And what about my dog? Does she too have to suffer? She takes the exact same medication I do to help wth her pain from a dislocated hip and knee cap. (She's too old and has diabetes to do the surgeries) -

I can't express it any better than you just did. I'm tired of it being a struggle to get medication and being looked at like I'm a addict when I do get. -
When we were traveling back in September, we found a couple of painted rocks in Daniel Boone National Forest that were originally from a group in Washington State. We took them with us and hid one in Buffalo, NY at the Anchor Bar. The other we hid outside a little mom and pop restaurant in Niagara Falls, Canada. I posted in the Washington State painted rock FB group that we had found and moved them. Several members commented that it was exciting to see their rocks on the move! A lot of the groups have a FB page based on the name of their city, county, state, etc. There's also a gen

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!! That's our doctor too and we really like her also! It's the rest of Kaiser and the way they operated that I hate. It's been tough trying to get what I need for my knees. I will say that 99% of the doctors themselves have been great, very caring, with the exception of ONE orthopedic I saw. It's the Kaiser SYSTEM and their method of operation I dislike.

Anyone know if the normal festivities will be held at the Tunnels' North Entrance?
