  1. Just a question. What is the deal with putting these sayings on church signs? I have seen them used several times and never understood why people have to use this signs.

  2. Okay, I just got off the phone with Stephanie. She is really nice too.

She is returning to work tomorrow.

I will wait on Erin for the report so I don't repeat what she is about to say.

I am so glad to hear that Stephanie is going back to work. I know that lots of people will say why or how can you go back so soon after the loss of a child but I can say as I have been there myself going back to work and keeping my mind busy was the best thing I did. Not that it takes away from anything that she is feeling but it is really what our children would want of us.

I met her a couple of times at the hospital when we would go to visit Tae Tae and she is a true blessing. You could also tell her if you talk to her again soon I am only a phone call away if she ever needs to talk to someone that has been down this path.

I want to be here to help her in anyway I can because you never really know until you have walked in those shoes and I know Nanny and a couple more on here have been have walked down that path.

  3. In this day and age, everyone should know better than to post a random email as fact without verifying it.

This is an email I recieved and just posted it to get someone else view on it not that this is the way I believe or not.

Sorry if you was offend by me posting a random email.

  4. We talked about this a few days ago: http://www.paulding.com/forum/index.php?sh...34424&hl=snopes

Here's a link to what Snopes has to say about it: http://www.snopes.com/crime/prevent/icephone.asp

While it is a good idea, the paramedics have much more important things than trying to figure out how your cell phone works. No later, when they are trying to get ahold of your relatives,  it may be a help.

I am sorry to repeat this thread but I missed the other one. Thanks for the information.

  5. Hey!  That's a good idea!  Think I will do that...hmmm, what number to use???

The way I understood was you put in the number of the person you want them to call. It could be a family member or friend.

  6. Paramedics will turn to a victim's cell phone for clues to that person's identity. You can make their job much easier with a simple idea that they are trying to get everyone to adopt: ICE.

ICE stands for In Case of Emergency. If you add an entry in the contacts list in your cell phone under ICE, with the name and phone no. of the person that the emergency services should call on your behalf, you can save them a lot of time and have your loved ones contacted quickly. It only takes a few moments of your time to do.

Paramedics know what ICE means and they look for it immediately. ICE your cell phone NOW!

    Please pass this one along!

  7. Around the corner I have a friend,

In this great city that has no end,

Yet the days go by and weeks rush on,

And before I know it, a year is gone.

And I never see my old friends face,

For life is a swift and terrible race,

He knows I like him just as well,

As in the days when I rang his bell.

And he rang mine but we were younger then,

And now we are busy, tired men.

Tired of playing a foolish game,

Tired of trying to make a name.

"Tomorrow" I say! "I will call on Jim

Just to show that I'm thinking of him."

But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes,

And distance between us grows and grows.

Around the corner, yet miles away,

"Here's a telegram sir," "Jim died today."

And that's what we get and deserve in the end.

Around the corner, a vanished friend.

Remember to always say what you mean.

If you love someone, tell them.

Don't be afraid to express yourself.>

Reach out and tell someone what they mean to you.

Because when you decide that it is the right time it might be too late.

Seize the day. Never have regrets.

And most importantly, stay close to your friends and family, for they have helped make you the person that you are today

  8. The Muslim Religion

VERY INFORMATIVE!This is a must read,it's short but very informative!

The Muslim religion in the fastest growing :religion per capita in the United States, especially in the minority races!!!

Allah or Jesus? by Rick Mathes

Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their belief systems.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say.

The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers.

When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked:

"Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world. And, that by killing an infidel, which is a command to all Muslims, they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?"

There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation he replied,"Non-believers!"

I responded,"So,let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can go to Heaven. Is that correct?"

The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just gotten caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He sheepishly replied, "Yes."

I then stated,"Well, sir,I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr Stanley ordering Protestants to do the same in order to go to Heaven

The Imam was speechless.I continued,"I also have problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me.Let me ask you a question.Would you rather have your Allah who tells you to kill me in order to go to Heaven or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to Heaven and He wants you to be with me?"

You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame.

Needless to say,the organizers and/or promoters of the 'Diversification' training seminar were not happy with Rick's way of dealing with the Islamic Imam and exposing the truth about the Muslim's beliefs.

I think everyone in the US should be required to read this, but with the liberal justice system, liberal media, and the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized.

Please pass this on to all your e-mail contacts.

This is a true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well known leader in prison ministry.

  9. While at the health dept one day, this subject was brought up (about different religions not accepting vacc.) and they said forms have to be filled out and signed and they can be let into school (scary...you come to our country, you follow our rules)

That is very scary..... I really think it should be a requirement.

I do not claim to be the best when it comes to the Bible so can someone tell me where I can find it in the Bible that it says we should not do this?

  10. Well I personally think they are a great thing to do. I guess you have to way the risk both ways. Is it not a requirment for the kids to start school now to be up to date on all shots? If you decide not to do this how do you get around it when it comes to starting school?

  11. Is this the Charles Arnett I went to high school with?  In the 80's at PCHS?

If so, he was the sweetest guy back then.  I knew he'd be a sweetheart as a man.

My heart goes out to his family.

I went to school with him also at PCHS. I graduated in 82 and he was either in my class or right behind me. He was a true good man.

  12. I would not take the younger kids... We took our daughter and some of her friends but we stay with them. It is not some where I feel is good to drop off and leave. Keep in mind it is also very loud and lots of the teens are smokers not sure if that place falls in with the no smoking now but the last time we was there you could still smoke in there.
