LIVING IN 2005!!
A little Thursday fun...
You know you're living in 2005 when...
1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave.
2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years.
3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of 3.
4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.
5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is
that they don't have e-mail addresses.
6. You go home after a long day at work you still answer the phone
in a business manner.
7. You make phone calls from home, you accidentally dial "9" to
get an outside line.
8. You've sat at the same desk for four years and worked for three
different companies.
10. You learn about your redundancy on the 11 o'clock news.
11. Your boss doesn't have the ability to do your job.
12. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to
see if anyone is home.
13. Every commercial on television has a website at the bottom
of the screen.
14. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't
have the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a
cause for panic and you turn around to go and get it.
15. You get up in the morning and go online before getting your
coffee.
16. You start tilting your head sideways to smile.
17. You're reading this and nodding and laughing.
18. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward
this message.
19. You are too busy to notice there was no # 9 on this list.
20. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn't a
# 9 on this list.
AND NOW YOU'RE LAUGHING at yourself.

I wanted to know what happened also. I seen the car on it's top. I did not see another car that was involved but I could have missed it. I just could not figure how what happened.

Prayer said and will continue to pray...

Dr. Rebecca Vaughn is right across the street from Paulding Hospital she is THE BEST!!!
We have used Dr Vaughn with both of our teenagers and she was great...

Nanny, I feel your pain. I have had them for the last month and went through 3 rounds of meds and still have lots of pain. This is my third time to have them. It really is so painfull.
It really does not help that it is so hot outside because the heat makes them worse.
-
We have been praying as we was in traffic when this happened. We will keep this guy and his family in our prayers.

The wreck was a motorcycle that flipped several times. It was a very bad wreck. I do know how bad the injuries was but he/she put on life flight.

I hate it you got pulled over...The good thing is you didnt get a ticket!
It might have seemed like over kill to you having 2 units, but here is a couple of reasons they might have a 2nd unit on the stop...
They might be training rookies (Which is what it sounds like to me, because GSP does not run 2 man units unless they are training. Trooper normally work alone.)
Or
There might have been a look out on a car like yours with a busted tail light.
Those are two of the many I can think of. Just let me say... if it was a BOL for a car w/ a busted tail light and the driver is known to be dangerous( or something), my hubby damn well better call for back-up BEFORE he gets out of his car. Because the only thing I want is my hubby to come back home to me and our boys safe and sound after his shift is over.
Take Care,
QTee
I really understand and I know they had a reason for the way they handled the stop.
I know it is best for them to be safe because they never know who they are pulling over.
When he walked up and ask if we knew we had a light busted out. He let us go right away once he seen that we knew and we had an estimate on the repairs. My husband even said later if a drunk person had of backed in to something or someone he/she may not have known that the light was busted.
I am very grateful for the job they do and have a lot of respect for them putting their life on the line as they do everyday on the job.
I am just thankful I did not get a ticket....
-
UPDATE: My dad is doing great... The doctors can't believe the recovery he has made. He is still confused and does not remember anything that has happened the last week.
Thanks again for all your prayers and support.

People have died for tail light stops. The Lake City cop that died this week was on a "routine" traffic stop.
I do understand it is for safety that they do this and I guess I would have not thought as much about it if the cop had been by himself but both cars had 2 guys and they all four got out.... They were all very nice and never got rude or anything with us.
-
Tell him to try target next time - they have not ask for my 15 yr olds id yet!
I will do that.... I just did not see why it was a big deal for him to feed the money thru with his dad standing right there and he is 17.
-
somethings seem petty ( btw ) dallas pd will pull you over for just about anything!
I know you said it was the SP.......watch out for DPD also!
Glad you didn't get a ticket
I am very glad I did not get a ticket. I went right then to buy some of the red tape to cover the light until I get it fixed. It will be going in the shop soon but I do not want to push my luck again....

Well if anyone seen the blue lights flashing on 278 in front of the new kroger tonight about 7:30 or so, well it was my family....
My jeep was hit last week and the tale light was busted off but the bulb still works just does not have the red cover on it. So 2 GSP cars pull up behind us with the lights flashing.
I am so thankful that I had the estimate in the jeep. He said well since you have that I will let you go.
I know they call for an extra car just for safety reasons but it was a little much to have to cars pull us over just for a light broken....

I am sure that this was an age thing. We just went to Wal-mart and our son was buying a movie which was rated R and keep in mind his dad was standing right beside him at the self check out and the lady came over there and said he could not even put the money in the machine because he was not old enough. I know they have laws to follow and I guess that is just one of them.

Prayers said.....

Just wanted to give you all an update. I have just got home from the hospital. My dad is doing so much better. He was able to talk to us tonight and has had a little bit to drink. They pulled him off the breathing machine today. He does not know what has happened and did not know where he was but that is ok. He just does not have any memory of the last couple weeks.
Thanks again for all your prayers because God has answered.

HI, I think it's dangerous to post your name, address and phone number out here for anyone to see (those are on the copy of the resume you posted on here) as this is a public board open to everyone and anyone everywhere...you may want to reconsider and post only a po box address, or your email address, as someone can still contact you that way. Good luck with your search, I wish you well, just want to see you safe too!
I will agree... I see so much fraud and I would not just give that info out because you never know who will use it...

Very well said. I feel so blessed to have been the one that made this quilt, you really just put tears in my eyes.

Thanks to each of you for your prayers. God has heard..... My Dad is breathing on his own right now. They are thinking of pulling the machines off of him for a little while today. Just keep him in your prayers.
Have you met a celebrity?

I have met Charlie Daniels. He had heard about my son fighting cancer and it was during his time of fighting the battle so we got to meet him several times at different places so he and Seth could spend time together. I still get emails from him from time to time.
Also can't forget meeting Big Boss Man.... He was one of my son's biggest fans and now the bodies are just about 20 feet apart. I know he is taking good care of my son.....
