  1. If Jim Traficant is any indication, yeah they can. Ohio, I know, but it's a recent case study.
  2. I've come out and said to stop it about Shearin. But, frankly, at least Shearin has ever been to Paulding County, or can locate it on a map. Pretty sure George Soros can't. Either way, let's leave them both out. Point of sale, for example? I've heard him say that a million times.
  3. Well I doubt that was the point. From everything I can tell (and the fact that bashing a person for being divorced is just plain stupid), this was intended to get to the fact that she was arrested. That's it. I'm mainly getting to the fact that bringing George Soros into the mix here honestly makes one look foolish. Please let me know where he said this was his "first course of action." I'd really love to know. What I believe he actually said is that it could be a possible solution, but I neglect to remember when he started parading it around as the first thing he would e
  4. Fair enough. I think Will can prove you wrong, but I understand where you're coming from.
  5. Nobody here is talking about her divorce. I think the issue was a little more towards the fact that she has a mugshot because she was arrested. I guess you can call me a "minion." Ask away. I'm listening. Really? Because I've been hearing some things about what Paulette and her people have been doing and saying, for quite some time now. And I'm pretty sure she set the standard in the Primary. You can talk about "sour notes," but I need to be frank in saying that you should keep them at least engrained in an iota of truth. I thoroughly debunked your "Will Avery = Geo
  6. I'm not one of those Democrats, then. I work an hourly job, and I like keeping my money. I think that there's a place for government, but I'm not looking for it to get any bigger. I can't hardly keep up with all of the bureaucracy as it stands, so Lord knows I can't take any more of it. My point is that your experience is your experience, but applying a universal principle because of it is a bad idea. Look, there are Tea Partiers out there that have held up some pretty deplorable signs, and I would venture to call those particular individuals racist. Not hardly all of them, but sure,
  7. That's a bad argument, because I was pushing for Adam Clayton Powell IV to primary Rangel out. Not a fan of his, so really the argument is moot.
  8. I just wonder, as a Democrat, what principles do I hold? I'm not running for office here, and I'll tell you exactly what I personally think, but since you seem to be the expert, what values to Democrats universally hold?
  9. ....are you seriously bringing George Soros into this one? I'm pretty sure Will has never met the guy, but nice scare tactics. Truly irrelevant. GAPolitico also links to Erick Erickson's PeachPundit and the Libertarian-leaning SWGA Politics. And, to boot, I haven't the faintest how GAPolitico got that information about Paulette. Maybe the House Democratic Caucus gave it to them? Maybe someone else? Point is, neither of us knows, so why are we pretending to be experts, here?
  10. I, too, am busy. I'm not always on P-com, and maybe that day I was a little stressed, I don't know. Sorry I never added my two cents there, but I'm adding them here. Take it for what it's worth, I guess. You can say we have lost credibility as a collective, fine, but the truth still speaks volumes. Your opinion, and that's fair. By the by, I know that at least one of those votes was in favor of a 3% sales tax increase. Can't really hide behind that one.
  11. Could it also be that he is busy? Running a campaign and all? I mean I don't know, but really there's only one of us here spreading innuendo. Madea, love ya and all, but you're going around attacking people, and then turning around and doing it yourself. I could care less--free country-- but just wanted to point it out. And please, again, let me know how the "ad" was full of lies. I don't remember it pointing out any specific days, but just had a bit of a running tally. Someone can fact check it, but Lord knows I don't have the time at the moment. But from what I can tell, it's all
  12. Some things occur randomly. I invite you to continue looking. According to what I saw, looking through public records myself to double check on the claim, it's all there. As far as I could tell, the reason that occured was because the online list doubly included one day, one saying that nobody was there, and the other one accurate. Surepip probably got confused, just as I did when I took a look. No lies, probably just a misunderstanding because of confusion. Hardly. Look up the State of Georgia definition of a tax increase. Did you pay more money? Tax increase. Just like the
  13. I've checked the records. She missed one hell of a lot of votes and days. Whole months, even. But, I guess in your mind, it's okay for a candidate who sent out mailers viciously attacking her primary opponent for missing votes to be a hypocrite, and miss votes herself? Obviously, these sorts of things won't serve to convince you of anything, and you will vote for Paulette, that's fine. But I'm still wondering why you are defending her absenteeism by pointing out that surepip (I think that's who wrote the post you referred to) mistakenly included one day (which, as far as I can tell, ma
  14. Just as Paulette has been supported by the House Republican Caucus (I believe David Ralston did an event for her this week), Will has been supported by the House Democratic Caucus. Is that too hard to believe? Democratic leadership supporting a Democratic candidate? Frankly, it would be much odder if the House Democratic Caucus did not hold an event for Will. I'd also really like to know who these "far left liberals" are, and how exactly "he will be obligated to dance with those folks." As far as I know, and in my many conversations with him, Will thinks for himself. If we're going to
  15. The head writer of the blog identifies himself readily as "Dustin," which is also his first name. I believe his email is even on there. I think the issue at hand, however, is the fact that Paulette Braddock, in 2003 was arrested for domestic violence. At least IMO, that's not someone we need under the Gold Dome.
  16. I only have a dog, and I too find that offensive. Not just you.
  17. Look, this is a legit complaint. Fact is that Paulette did not disclose what could easily exceed $5000 in mailers, which have been proven to have been mailed from her business. Is it illegal to use her own business, of course not. I'd do it too! But she MUST disclose the fact that she used it, plain and simple. There are a few forms this could come in: a loan from her business, her campaign paying in full, her loaning herself money to pay her business, etc. However, according to Georgia State law, a business and an individual are two different things, and she would need to disclose who i
  18. Which is precisely why I asked. I too am unsure to the veracity of the allegation, so I am wondering what people know/have heard.
  19. I wasn't claiming it was his fault, it's just a sort of precedence that exists. That being said, Obama should lay off a little on the vacays.
  20. Hey Bush did it too, but yeah, I'll even concede that Obama shouldn't do so many danged vacations.
  21. The difference between what Will said there and what is going on now is vast. "Negative campaigning" is doing things like Mr. Golden did, sending out a mailer that, without any evidence whatsoever, implied that Mr. Stout was still engaging in extramarital affairs. Read the mailer, it said that pretty much straight out. Speaking about truths that relate very directly to the future ability of someone to govern, respond to people, or be an honest and open representative is not "negative campaigning." Sure, Paulette may not much like it, and she may see it "negatively," but sometimes the tr
  22. Is it really the case that she is going on vacation? If that is the case, I am actually abhorred. I mean, it's no secret that I'm not a fan of hers, but if she wants to represent a large group of people in a government body, why the heck would she take some time off? It's irresponsible, and tells us that she doesn't care about listening. I've been around politics for quite some time now, and it's usually only during campaign season that candidates even pretend to listen to people. If she can't even pretend to listen, how receptive will she be when it matters
  23. Oh, feelip, don't worry. I think I diffused the situation with my sarcastic comment earlier.
  24. I appreciate you addressing all of these. Every time I hear Paulette talking, it's in empty buzzwords. I have yet to hear her deliver a single solution come out of her mouth. I appreciate your ideas Will. Even if other people disagree, I hope they can at least respect the fact that you are honest about who you are.
  25. I hope/think that Will's main point was to point out hypocrisy. I doubt he believes that fees should never exist (as many of them need to) but some of them (like the fee increase from .25 to 1.00 for copies) is absurd, and just a veiled tax that will ultimately hurt us, the citizens. Correct me if I'm wrong, of course, but that's at least my impression.
