  1. Ned Wertimer, a prolific character actor who was perhaps best known for playing Ralph the Doorman for 11 seasons on the CBS sitcom "The Jeffersons," has died. He was 89.
  2. A ferry in Manhattan crashed into the dock. At least 50 hurt.
  3. New photos of Mars from NASA's Curiosity rover have sparked a buzz of discussion over an odd formation that some have dubbed a "flower" embedded in a Martian rock. The rover has also found a snake-like rock formation winding across the Red Planet's surface. The so-called Mars "flower" photo was snapped on Dec. 19 by the microscope-like Mars Hand Lends Imager at the end of Curiosity's robotic arm. At the lower left of the image is a strange, apparently transparent formation that some Internet forum users on the website claimed looked much like a flower, according to NBCNews.com's photoblog.
  4. When is enough money enough? For some people never, no matter what the cost. Mark 8:36 "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?"
  5. Wow! You can save a bunch of money with free circus tickets. Groovy!
  6. CNN) —Kanye West was a proud father on Sunday night when he announced that he and girlfriend Kim Kardashian are expecting a baby, but for the state of California Kris Humphries is the presumed dad. According to the state's Family Code, Humphries is presumed to be the father of Kardashian's baby because the two are still legally married. Kardashian filed for divorce in October 2011 after 72 days of marriage, but their split isn't yet official. A man is presumed to be the natural father of a child if he is or has been married to the mother, and if the baby is either born during
  7. When I was a child, my father, uncle and grandfather had guns for hunting. But I KNEW I was never ever suppose to touch them. And they kept them out of reach anyway. I never even tried to touch them.
  8. People are so mean. CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Clemson University student Nathan Weaver set out to determine how to help turtles cross the road. He ended up getting a glimpse into the dark souls of some humans. Weaver put a realistic rubber turtle in the middle of a lane on a busy road near campus. Then he got out of the way and watched over the next hour as seven drivers swerved and deliberately ran over the animal. Several more apparently tried to hit it but missed. "I've heard of people and from friends who knew people that ran over turtles. But to see it out here like this was a bit
  9. There is a 1940's movie I like. " The Uninvited" staring Ray Milland. It is a haunted house story but it much better than most.
  10. Dick Clark died this year. I just saw a commerical and they have the words "Dick Clark's New Years Rockin' Eve" with "Dick Clark's" name in very small letters. So, do you think that they will a some point drop his name from it? Will it become "Ryan Seacrest's" or just only "New Years Rockin' Eve" without any name with it? Anyway I HOPE they do a tribute to Dick...he deserves it.
  11. I don't know how to move a youtube video on here but here is the website:
  12. I'm a "Twilight Zone" fan and Jack Klugman was on about 3 or so of that show. And of course "Quincy" he was a forensic detective before forensics were cool.
  13. Public Service Annoucement: Cottage Cheese at Publix is under the "Pudding" sign. It has been YEARS since I have bought cottage cheese, but I needed it for a recipe. I looked where the "Cheese" sign is...and looked and looked. Anyhoo, it's really under the "Pudding" sign. Just in case you need any cottage cheese that where to look. Odd.
  14. HEY! This movie is going to be on at 2:45 Friday morning (in little over 3 hours from now). Its on "Turner Classic Movies" Stay up or record it!
  15. I HOPE Tate Stevens wins! Voting starts at 10:00. If you haven't been watching, tonight is a good time to see.
  16. This is part of an old Hymn: I don't know about tomorrow, it may bring me poverty. But the One who feeds the sparrows is the One who stands by me. And the path that be my portion may be through the flame or flood, but His presence goes before me and I'm covered with His blood. Many things about tomorrow I don't seem to understand. But I know WHO hold tomorrow and I know WHO holds my hand.
  17. I my own life, I am in touch with friends and family all through-out the day EVERY day, I even know stuff about my cousin's dog, and other minor stuff. I know that if someone in my family was involved in something that I would be told about it. From several different people. I think it's weird that this guy didn't have friends or family or SOMEONE that would talk with him.
  18. Ingles on Nebo Rd will special order items for people.
  19. But the point is, his own child was DEAD. The divorce wouldn't have anything to do with that. It's still his son.
  20. I just saw on the internet that Peter Lanza who is Adam Lanza's father, came home from work yesterday and a reporter was in his driveway. He ask the reporter why he was there and the reporter told him about the killings. The father didn't know until the reporter told him. Does anyone think this is weird? Wouldn't the cops and already talked to him? Or someone would have texted or called him? Or heard on the radio, television or internet?
  21. As far a gun control I say this: Think of ALL of human history. In the whole scope of time, guns are a new invention. BUT people have been killing people all through-out time. Adam and Eve's son murdered their other son and it sure wasn't with a gun. People might use a stone or a stick or bow and arrow. My point is if a person wants to kill he or she Will Do So. Even if every gun in the whole world was gone.
  22. I think we need more of what used to be called "Insane Asylums". Years ago people who were unstable would be shut away in a place where they could do no harm...to other or themselves. Now, even when people are crazy they might spead a couple of days in treatment then released. I know that some people will think I'm harsh, but I think the old days when people were shut up in Asylums was better.
  23. Hey! The author of the "Hunger Games" books/movie lives in Sandy Hook. Could it be the killer obsessed with her books?
