Since my husband lost his job, he has taken several part time jobs all out of town to keep up with the bills . No beneifits but we are keeping our house. I have scrubbed other peoples toliets, watched their children anything to make a buck. Our older 2 kids will cut grass, clean gutters, haul trash, anything to help out. You make money any way you can and you have to hustle to stay afloat. I would not be able to deal with anyone selfish enough to turn down work. It is the bills!!! And Christmas is just around the corner. My husband had lost his job in December and he has been working out of town for the last 3 months. Thank God he has found work but taking care of our 4 kids alone has not been fun. Everyone tests their limits to see what moms reaction will be.

I actually went to nursing school in Bay City we did our training at St. Lukes and St. Marys in Saginaw. I worked at St. Joes in Pontiac and we did our Trauma training at Hurley in Flint. Drove to tons of concerts at Joe Louis, Cobo Hall and Pine Knob. Flint is rough but I would still risk a trip for a good coney or a Halo Burger.

I like to hang out in those places but I have drove thru alot worse. I have done private duty as a nurse at Grady, Gradys nursing home out on Cleavland Avenue. I worked in Detroit, Flint and Pontiac. Believe me if you are afraid of Atlanta you really haven't experienced many large urban cities. Its like dealing with a dog show fear and your eaten alive. Be smart and alert and your fine.

To say we need dead bodies littering the streets of Atlanta is violent talk. There is good and bad in every city, Places right out here in Paulding I would not want to break down in at night. I still think Atlanta is a great city and will continue to enjoy Little 5 Points, Virginia Highlands, Druid Hills, Grant Park, Love to watch the Krishna festival, The Greek festivals. I guess I have never let fear of the unknown stop me from living my life.

Wow, I worked in Atlanta for 20 years at an inner city trauma hospital. Never once did I have a problem or was I in fear of my life. The hospital is off boulevard. It is irresponsible for ANYONE to promote killing in the streets of Atlanta whether it is white thugs, black thugs, Mexicans. Because we are considered a civilized country we have a court system. If we become Highway vigilantes we are no better than third world countries. This is a no brainer it is wrong to incite violence of any kind.I still visit Atlanta ooften and enjoy the diverse community.

My daughter went through a stage with acne, Proactive did not work. Now I make her soap and face wash. Everything can be bought online thru Mountain Rose Herbs. My husband also has psarasis and I make a special soap and lotion for him. It really works. An emergency tooth ache remedy that will get you by until you see the dentist is 1 teaspoon alum 1 tsp of table salt. Add just enough water to make a paste apply it to the tooth and around the gum. It will work immediately but you do have to reapply it often.

Pillow, change for the vending machines, Tylenol ( unless you want to pay 5.00 per dose at the hospital)shampoo, Lysol disenfectant spray. Spray everything bed rails, phone, tables, bathroom. Most importantantly a sense of humor!! Nothing is on time.

Too bad many of these corporations cut benefits, drop wages and let long term employees go to bring in cheaper workers. Yea I am bitter!
