  1. New they are running $250ish... Microcenter will have more refurbished netbooks on Wednesday for $199-249
  2. They are not gamers, per se, but like playing games on several different websites. As long as they can do that, they're not going to care. They're both just tired of sharing the laptop with the adults... That is one of the ones we've been looking at... It seems like it would do what they need. The oldest one wants one that he'll be able to carry back and forth to his dad's house.
  3. Both of my boys have been saving money from their birthdays and got the rest of what they needed for Christmas to buy themselves a netbook. Any suggestions on the best value? We've been looking all over and the best that I've found is $199 for a Gateway at MicroCenter. I'm open to suggestions... the youngest is out of patience and wants to go get one TODAY!
  4. Thanks for the replies. I will check in to these.
  5. We currently have all of our prescriptions filled at the Wal-Mart in Acworth, but are planning to start having them filled closer to home. Does anyone know if any pharmacies still offer incentives for changing to them? It's not about the incentive, but every little bit counts this time of year. ) I could always use a little extra for Christmas shopping.
  6. I've been enjoying the HD Movie Network, but now they say that FX is back. I hope that doesn't mean that I'm going to lose the new channel. On the other hand, I am interested in switching to Uverse, too, but it's not available yet.
  7. Real camo or just the kind of stuff like I'd get at Wal-Mart? He wants a pair of real BDUs.
  8. Thanks. From looking at their site, it doesn't appear that they carry children's sizes. I need a Youth 12 for my youngest son. I will probably ride by there tomorrow to check, though, and then head to Marietta if they don't have it. Thanks for your help.
  9. Does anybody know the name of the military store on Business 6??? My son wants pair of camo pants to wear for Halloween and I was wondering if they are open tomorrow so that I don't have to drive all the way to Marietta to get him a pair. Thanks.
  10. Bumping to the top for the evening crowd. )
  11. Once the 5 spots are filled, there will be 12 members.
  12. There are 5 spots open in a hunting lease here in Paulding County. Bow and shotgun only. Located off of Hwy. 61 near Paulding Meadows - 240 acres. Price per year is $300.00 Please contact Eric Queen at (404) 936-7406 with your questions.
  13. Got an assessment from the county a few months ago stating our house is valued at $115,000 - but recently was looking at doing a home equity loan and the assessment that they came up with says it's only worth $63,000. Not sure why, but we aren't going to be able to the equity loan because of that. Is there any way to take that assessment to the county and get the tax bill lowered now? I know they're due in two weeks, so I'm probably too late, but figured I'd ask anyways.
  14. I had to pick my youngest up from school this afternoon after lunch. He had a fever of 101.5 and was complaining that his head was hurting and he felt nauseous, with a little bit of a cough and sore throat. I brought him home and started him on Tylenol and Motrin. His fever was down to 99.5 when I checked it about a half hour ago. I hope that he gets to feeling better, because I hate it when he feels icky. The other thing is that now that my oldest son is home, he wants to get up and play, which is making him cough now.
  15. I'm not trying to shut anyone down - or tell anyone else not to go there. The way I see it is that they know there is a problem, but have chosen to do nothing about it. The movie theater will not close down. There will always still be people that go there because it is close to home and what they like to do - just the same as people continue to eat at restaurants that continually receive low health scores. I, myself, have chosen not to return to that particular theater. I highly doubt that my choosing not to go there will affect their revenues in any way seeing as how I only go every
  16. I had my hopes up that whoever stole my purse would trash it when they were done going through it, but I haven't heard anything, so I guess it's just gone. It really disappoints me to know that there are people out there that think they have the right to take things that don't belong to them, and that I feel so completely violated by this.
  17. You can get the refills in Hiram, too, but I like the theater in Acworth better anyways.
  18. Yes. It was tucked under the seat. I'm not sure how they knew it was there, but they did one heck of a smash and grab. I'm most upset over a few very sentimental items that were in there, though. A couple of key chains from my husband and kids. A casino coin from my husband and mine first ever trip together. I'd been holding on to that coin for eleven years. Only factory security. A car alarm does nothing these days anyways.
  19. We have no intentions of going back there if they have that little consideration for not only their customers, but their employees park over there, too. Yes, they busted the whole window put, and in broad daylight, too. that is one of the things I have to do - call the credit bureaus and report it.
  20. Can you believe that my purse was stolen out from under the seat of our truck today while we were in the movies? It was completely under the seat, but our window was busted out, and the ONLY thing missing was my purse. I guess I was naive to think that just because you can't see in the windows of our truck that my purse would be safe. My hubby went inside to ask if they had cameras, but they only have cameras inside, but told him they've been having a lot of problems with vehicles being broken into on the side of the building. I spend most of my evening on the phone cancelling cards
  21. I think when we went, they said that they had just completed a remodeling of the ship, so maybe you were there during, and I was there after. We went to Nassau out of Miami. Hated the drive, hated Nassau, but LOVED the ship. We will definitely cruise again - hopefully in February. Trying to figure out for certain if we have to have passports or not and get money figured out to see where we can go.
  22. The one and only cruise we have ever been on was last October on the Monarch of the Seas - and it wasn't broken or run down at all. We loved it, and everything was perfect.
  23. I noticed the 7 day cruises, but they were only up through January - and we are wanting to go in February. I would love to be able to book our cruise October 14th, but I still haven't heard anything about if they are going to make the kids make up the flood days by attending school that week. I'd hate to book the cruise, then not be able to go and lose money. Also, we still have to get passports, so I would rather not book until we have those in hand just in case they are backlogged or something.
  24. We are looking for a cruise the week in February that the kids are out of school for four people. Know of any fairly inexpensive options?
