  1. So are storage buildings confirmed? Hubby was thinking possibly an automotive shop moving from one end of the road to the other because he has seen the owner in the clearing. We are just curious.
  2. Any ideas what they're clearing near Riverwood for on Bobo Road?
  3. Is that the same as Dallas First United Methodist?
  4. Are there any soup kitchens located here locally? I would like to get my family involved over the holidays, but we're looking for something more local to reach out to those that here locally that are in need. Thanks.
  5. My Belgian Malinois just had one of those back in September. We took him to the vet and they drained it to try to keep from him having surgery because he's older. It filled back up about two weeks later, but we took him in again and they drained it again. It's been fine ever since the second time. It only cost us an office visit that I can remember. Good luck - I hope your furbaby feels better soon.
  6. Is the butcher on Business 6 next to the door cooler? If so, they're closed on Sunday & Monday.
  7. Nice to meet you as well. We are directly across on Seminole - first house on the left (grey) with the fenced back yard. This time of year we are working in the yard, or hanging out on the front porch... so we were just curious.
  8. We were wondering what was going on ourselves. We are directly across the street from them. Always see them outside working in the yard with their dogs.... My thoughts are certainly with them whatever they are going through at this very moment.
  9. I'm looking forward to going.... Just hope I can get out of bed and get up there before all the good stuff is gone!
  10. I've seen something on Facebook for a citywide yard sale tomorrow in Dallas.... I'm curious what to expect. I read that there will be over 70 vendors, but are those individuals who have purchased booth space to sell craft / other items, or are they setting up like a regular yard sale type of thing? Just curious what to expect before I get up in the morning and go. Thanks for any information you can provide.
  11. We were talking about going, but instead are going to my grandma's 70th birthday party.... Family takes priority.
  12. I would love try out, but my husband and oldest son are leaving for summer camp on Sunday.
  13. Wonder if Glamour Shots are still around.... Thanks.
  14. So how long does it take to get a picture book back after ordering???
  15. That is what I bought her for her 40th birthday.
  16. I had considered that.... Just don't know what I'd put in the basket. Candles, perfume, lotion, etc... ??? Sound about right? I've been looking for a watch, bracelet or necklace that she would like, but I haven't found just the right thing yet. I've been considering that, too! I was leaning towards a pack of adult diapers. LOL No time for that - the party is Saturday. I've been working on putting together a scrapbook for my MIL for a few months. It's a slow process.
  17. My mom is turning 50 next week and we are throwing her a surprise party on Saturday. I have been trying to figure out what to buy her for her birthday, but have had no luck. Any suggestions??? She's very hard to buy for because she is one of those people that goes out and buys something if she decides she wants it.
  18. I was looking at their website... Isn't there one on Cedarcrest, too? As in the fabric store?
  19. Does anyone know of any cooking classes locally for children? My son, who is fixing to turn 10, wanted to participate in the cooking classes at Surge. However, the class is in such high demand that I didn't get him registered in time. He's not interested in taking anything else that is offered, so I thought I would try to find something locally that I could take him to. Thanks for any help that you can provide.
  20. My husband saw a billboard the other day for somebody that does it for $199.00 - I'll ask him what their name was because he's supposed to be making an appointment for our house, too.
  21. It's all in using the right key words in your resume and having the experience to back it up. My mom got a job there about a year and a half ago and loves it.
  22. My hubby and I both have lower back problems... both of us have degenerative disc disease and suffer from constant back pain. Better at times, but I don't think our pillow top mattress is helping us out at all... We both wake up hurting and don't get a decent's night sleep ever. I think on our list of resolutions for the new year is to buy us a new bed that will help us out. I'll just keep checking in on this discussion to see what direction my shopping will go in...
  23. We've been looking for several months while the boys saved their money to be sure that we find the right one for them... We saw the ones that were cheap on Black Friday and decided against them because we didn't feel that they had enough to them.
  24. I was looking on the Dell outlet last night and everything that they had listed was a little out of our price range. I'll keep an eye out, though, until we find what we're looking for. MicroCenter is supposed to get in 23 netbooks on their truck tomorrow, so hopefully we'll find a match there. Thanks for the suggestion. I don't have an issue with there being no disk drives. We mainly use the desktop for major projects and save it to a jump drive. The kids mainly want their own laptop so that they don't have to share to play games. I told them if they saved their money and bought their
