    It probably hurts because you have been up on it too much today, AM I RIGHT??? You need to stay off it for a few more days, make sense, huh! I know you have things you have to do but, taking care of yourself is more important. Otherwise you will be doing more harm than good. Rest and enjoy, let the family take care of you for a few days!!!!

    I think there was a coupon in the the sunday paper July 02 for $10 off. I cut it out but, i am skeptical also.

    I bought the Clorox brand Floor Cleaner (like the swiffer wet jet thingy) I used the thing a couple of times and it tore up and now I use the wet cleaning pads on it instead of the bottle of cleaner. Since the coupon for the shower cleaner is $10, the price will probably be $30. (JMO) Not sure if I want to spend that much money on something I am not sure of to begin with.

    Mysterious Phone caller may be solved

    I have been getting these phone calls for about a month or more. It usually happens on a wednesday afternoon. Although, I got one on Monday and Friday this week, only today it was not the little girl (sounded like) this time it was a teen aged boy, or it sounded like it anyway. I looked up the # on Anywho.com, reverse lookup and of course it came up with NOTHING! I have not received any odd charges on by phone bill either, what kind of charges are there? If any of you find out anything PLEASE, let us know. Next time I get the call, I will ask to speak to the childs parent and see what happens. Has anyone else tried this yet?

    Daughter looking for a job

    My daughter will be a senior next year and is in the program where she will leave early to go to a job that is associated with some of her tech. classes. She took childcare type classes and now will need to find a job in a Daycare.

     

    Does anyone know a daycare that is hiring? IF so please post.

    I was at Mcdonalds one evening and a "family" of 3, husband, wife and a young boy and myself exited the store at the same time. I noticed a young man standing by an old beatup car, and he had is wife with him, the car was packed w/clothes. The tag was from Louisanna, he said the came from the storm area and was going to Augusta , he had family there. I could see a pillow and a blanket, assuming the were homeless. Anyway I drive an Impala and the "family" was in a Lexus. The young man asked the man, if he would buy him and his wife something to eat. The man said 'NO". I overheard and asked the youngman if he was hungry and he said yes, they had not eaten in 2 or 3 days and was running out of gas. I escorted them into Mcdonalds, told them to order whatever they wanted, they were being very conservative, I told them to get them something for later. I ordered them 4 apple pies to take with them also. I asked the manager if he could donate some gift cards or coupons, he did give them 6 coupons for a free sandwich and I gave them what candy & snacks I had in the car, I always have a lunchbox packed, then we drove over to the gas station and I told the youngman to pump $20 worth of gas. I was a little scared but, I know they really needed some help. It was a feeling no one can explain, I had made someones day a little brighter!

    My daughter use to babysit for the Dingler Family spokeperson, Jake Haley. He lives in Paulding County, a couple of miles from 92 & 278. He was intervied by the newsmedia, on behalf of the Dingler Family, (JMO).

    Hi all :-)

    So I'm a history major at GSU living in Paulding County (as I've been basically all my life). I'm a bit of a Civil War nut as well, and lately I've been trying to pin down the modern-day locations of defensive lines, etc, for both academic and personal pursuits.

     

    Today I realized something that should have been obvious. All the "Old" roads that criss-cross our county (Old Dallas Rd, jutting off of 120 just before Mars Hill being one) are likely what I've been following on my period maps from the Union Army's advances during the Atlanta Campaign. So, while I thought 120/Dallas Hwy was the modern, expanded version of Dallas Rd, it would seem this is not the case.

     

    So my question is: where can I go to get not just period transportation maps (rather detailed preferably) but also trace the record of road development in the county? I'd like to see when roads were expanded/moved, and if they were diverted, what happened to the old paths? I'm thinking either the PC library or the courthouse.

     

    Any helpful tips?
