Why are they no longer teaching cursive writing?
AustinPlantation replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I don't think you can do cursive on a celphone or tablet. As for the schools, there was a typo in a recent bill that was supposed to prohibit cursing in the schools. Cursive is destined to be a forgotten language. -

Paulding Film Studio (Atlanta Film Studios)
AustinPlantation replied to meme12's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I believe Paulding opened a business park a bit South of the movie studio with an entrance on the Western side of Bill Carruth. The movie studio entrance is on the Eastern side of Bill Carruth. -
We have OnStar too and it helped us a couple of times, but we have the one car that can't check the parts, etc., no messages. The Pontiac Vibe was actually made by Toyota and doesn't have that connection. great car. too bad they closed the factory when GM went under.

Hey! What's your favorite breed of dog and cats
AustinPlantation replied to rockysmom's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Tuxedo cats are handsome and smart. To get our attention ours reached up and patted our back when we sat at the kitchen table. Also reached up to try opening doors. -
So, we went to drop off newspapers in the recycling bin by Nebo Elementary and got stuck in mucho mud on the way out. So many folks stopped, to bring me home to call the auto club and to try to get us out. One with the right equipment finally succeeded. Very grateful. Auto club projected an extra hour to wait. Many times we've gotten help from neighbors and strangers. We love Paulding.

Thanks to all who helped move the Mosaic!
AustinPlantation replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
There seems to have been a news story, both for the mosaic and what you went through as well as the other stuff with the country. Did you try that? -
I guess you can't sign on any longer and change to paperless statements. I still belong to a credit union 1000 miles away and got the Credit Union discount when I got my last GM car. Also, I understand that you can do transactions for many different credit unions other credit unions around the country.

The Ortho docs who were with Pinnacle now have the same insurance as before, at least they have mine, even though they aren't all in the insurance on-line directory yet. Took forever for them to work it out.

Cartersville resident April Gary Hill took her three children, ages 3, 2 and 1, to Dellinger Park last Wednesday. According to WSB-TV, the children were feeding bread to ducks and fish when Daniah Hill, 3, slipped through the railing and fell into the pond as she threw the last piece of bread into the water. Hill told the news station she screamed for help while her daughter flopped around in the water. Hearing the screams, three teenagers — identified as Paulding County residents Corey Troupe, Josey Green and Niko Kleowdis — sprang into action. Full article: http://patch.com/georg

Just as a FYI: Ortho Atlanta has the same docs who were at Pinacle, but for some reason they haven't been fully accredited yet with my Piedmont Wellstar Medicare advantage plan. They applied, but it's taking some time. Piedmont Wellstar is suposed to let me know when they'll be on board in a few days. Orto Atlant's website that they take the insurance. Only a couple of their far-odd docs are in theplan's list of docs co far. Pinacle opened a small office in Dallas, still have the insurance, but for many things will send you off in one direction or the other for service.

Loved it. Didn't think they would make it from Manhattan to Brooklyn, but there were a couple of shots there. Not quite that old, but I was in Brooklyn when they still had trolleys and went to the High School in the opening credits of Welcome Back Kotter, was in the basement of the World Trade Center the day before the parking garage was blown up, used to take the subway at a very early age from Brooklyn to the Bronx to visit my favorite aunt. There is a giant book of Atlanta before and after pix that I read in a doctors office recently. Most Atlanta buildings from the early 1900s are gone
