I'm sure plenty of parents wanted to walk their kindergartners to class but I also wonder if any of the traffic had to do with the short hours of open house. Were some of the kids walked in because kids and parents didn't know who their teacher was etc. I also found out yesterday that Allgood has like a thousand kids this year compared to some elementary schools only having 300 and something.

Because they didn't want to go to school???? Oh I get it...slow this morning. Good idea.

I took her a lot earlier than I usually do. Wanted to get home to see son get on Middle school bus for first time. She was on time but I couldn't believe the traffic when I left. Oh and bus just picked up at 8:25 for Middle school. Aren't they supposed to be in classrooms by 8:30? I'm sure it will get better.....but looks like bus or car rider it didn't matter. Hope they have a great first day and yes that turn off and onto 61 is scary last night after open house I saw an SUV literally pull out into the road on 61 and sit there until someone let them out. WOW first year I have taken my daughter to school on first day. A normal 7 minute trip took 30. Traffic backed up at Allgood all the way to cars on 61. Ironically there was no traffic at the drop off point. Majority was parents parking to walk kids inside for first day of school.

Darn...I use that site to do fact checking on rental applications.

We rented the original Karate Kid yesterday. Couldn't believe the language that was used BS and GD to name a few. This was rated PG???? Loved the new Karate Kid and the kids asked to see the original. Thought it would be interesting to see the similarities but didn't remember it having that kind of language.
