  1. I watched air racing one time, I could never figure out which air won.
  2. You are sooo lucky! I stayed in a Red Roof last night, so I know these answers. That was so easy, it's a shame you wasted your four questions on something like this. I also know the answer to "The Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe and Everything". But because I like you and you named a duck after my gal, I will go ahead and give you the answer to "The Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe and Everything", the answer is......ready?.....here it comes......scroll down (no that's not the answer, it is a action that needs to be taken)
  3. First, you (and a few others) may be having a discussion about whether cops should get a free pass for shooting civilians, unarmed or otherwise. But the people who are not condemning LE right from the start, are not discussing that. Why aren't they discussing that? Because they not only do not believe that, they have never ever ever said that. What do they say? Let the system do it's job. What do the people who condemn LE say, it doesn't matter what happens, LE is wrong. Why? I suspect inferiority complexes, but that is only because I stayed in a Red Roof last night, had it been a Holi
  4. Admit it, you like me...a lot. That is why you did the bold and the three colors.
  5. I grew up vacationing at Fort Mountain. Love it for many reasons, but I didn't know about the horses.
  6. Thanks!! What a great singer! Jack Webb (that's right, Sgt. Friday himself) wrote and directed a movie called Pete Kelly's Blues. He had both Ella Fitzgerald and Peggy Lee in the movie. Peggy Lee received a nomination for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her part in the movie. So she could not only sing, she could act. Here she is singing "Sugar" in Pete Kelly's Blues
  7. Aaaaaand, my point is made. I haven't read the DOJ report. I am not going to debate this with you or anyone else who's mind is closed, it is a waste of your time and energy and my time and energy. I will repeat this, most (if not all) of the people who are not condemning the officer already, will when the report is issued, go along with that report, whatever the findings are. That is not the case of those who have already, tried and convicted this man.
  8. I think the Lodge closed some time ago. Stop off in Ellijay and see my uncle and aunt, he made millions in the big building boom in that area back in the 2000's. Fort Mountain is a nice place to spend some time. Nice trails and boating. If you stay in a cabin, get one of the older ones, they are huge.
  9. One other note. If the investigation shows the officer acted inappropriately, most (if not all) of the people who are "on the officer's side", will say that he was wrong. Those who have already tried and convicted him, will never say he acted appropriately, no matter what the investigation shows.
  10. And there it is ladies and gentlemen. Like I said, LE is tried and convicted, no matter what any investigation shows. Same deal as what happened in that peaceful community of Ferguson, MO. LE is guilty until proven innocent and even then, they are guilty because it is a cover up. The only thing these people will accept is a police officer's head on a platter, truth be damned.
  11. Beautiful face? Perhaps? But more like the face of someone who is just looking to get into whatever trouble they can. All I can say is that I'm glad we didn't get her, I am pretty sure she would have organized our 4 cats and 2 dogs against us. Ok, 3 cats and 2 dogs, Fat Pete doesn't move unless there is food, treats or petting involved. She is a keeper.
  12. I agree with Mrnn, the schools are not teaching our kids well. But he left out a major reason, we have quit teaching and become test takers. No real learning, just learn the answers for the test. Who is behind this? Special interest groups, the list is long and swings from the left to the right. Concerning the rest of the commentary, typical liberal hyperbole. As far as humans and dinosaurs living together....I have only one thing to say...Yabba Dabba Doo! (yep, I have seen it with my own eyes) PS I really liked the hat
  13. I got a suggestion, why don't we wait and see what the GBI's investigation shows. Ohhh, I forgot, there are those, who if the investigation shows that the officer acted properly, then cry "rigged". In other words, they prejudge the case and then claim whatever they need to claim to fit their prejudgment. I think that is called being prejudice.
  14. I'm confused, are saying you support government officials doing background checks on private citizens with tax payer monies? If so, then don't you ever and I mean EVER say another word about government oppressing it's people or over stepping it's bounds. Unless you want to.
  15. Like the man said, first you say it, then you do it. "Ohhhh S***"
  16. Sounds good! I'll bring the hot dogs.
  17. Apparently, the list is lost. At least that is what I understood Dale Russell to say.
  18. I understand, but I can also understand someone wanting to find out for themselves anything they could find out to help LE discover who may be behind these threats. It may not be the wisest thing to do, but I personally wouldn't hold it against someone trying to find out who is threatening their family. Besides, he has already left office, I would think that the worst that could happen is that he has to repay the cost of the background checks. All of this is presuming that these background checks were for the reason given.
  19. If Mr. Jones was sorta bending the rules while trying to find out who was threatening him, I can certainly understand that. (and I do not know that there was any rule bending involved) If that is all that this is about, then show the BoC the fact and let's all let it go. If there is other stuff, then we need to know that also. But again, if it is all to do with the threats, then I say, "move on, nothing to see here".
  20. Someone please correct me if I state something incorrectly. To my knowledge, these are facts. 1. Fact - Mike Jones ran background checks on (I think it was 13) people, using his Paulding County credit card. The total cost for these background checks was a little over $300. Explanation - Mr. Jones stated that these background checks had to do with on an ongoing investigation into threats to Mr. Jones and/or his family. According to the information pubby posted, Mr. Jones acknowledged that he had run these background checks and that they were done for the reason stated. 2. Fact - A
  21. Here's a thought for ya. A real situation actually occurred. The GBI is examining it, step by step. Why not wait until they file their report before claiming this or that.
  22. Want to make this all become a non issue and shut everyone up. Show the BoC proof of who these checks were done on. Mike Jones says they were related to a criminal case, then the names should reflect that. It is that simple. Story over and no one left to guess what it was about and it shuts everyone up, including Fox5.
  23. Of course. Love conquers all. Which is why I would go with the grandkids.
