  1. Here's our zoo. William (the nosy and lazy) Pete (the king of lazy, that's why he weights 20 lbs) Penny (the lick'er and pooter) Mitzy (the 60's too many drugs cat, "hey man, what's happening?") Doodles (the devil poodle, look at those eyes) Ashley (the queen, she like Mary Poppins, almost perfect)
  2. Hmmmm, someone needs to inform Mssr Webster Webster: se·cret adjective \ˈsē-krət\ : kept hidden from others : known to only a few people : keeping information hidden from others se·cre·cy noun \ˈsē-krə-sē\ : the act of keeping information secret : the quality or state of being hidden or secret
  3. I am sorry to hear about the loss of this lady. Yes, being addicted to drugs and alcohol is bad for all who are involved. If there is one consolation that can be taken from this and it is not much of a consolation, especially at this time, is that the person with the addiction is no longer in mental, emotional, physical and (if you believe in this type of thing) spiritual pain. Again, sorry for everyone who knew and loved this person's loss.
  4. What kind of person would take the other person at their word? Don't they know that lying, obfuscating, muddling, concealing and just plain out and out lying is to be expected from those you work with? Harumph, what kind of people do we have running this county anyway, honest, ethical and moral ones?
  5. Well when the people that you work with, the people that you trust, the people that you expect to have your back and be honest and upfront with you, hide things from you, in fact going so far as to leave the county to make sure you don't find out that they are having a meeting about the airport, well I can see why you don't know about it. Think about that. Why go to another county to have the work sessions? Maybe it was to make sure the commissioner didn't accidentally find out. It is not hard to keep something from someone who trust you. After all, they expect you to be honest and
  6. Yes, there are places to land the plane. But here is what you have to ask. Why? What is the motive? What would you do with all the passengers? Suppose you wanted a plane for some reason, you have to hope you don't get tracked to where you are going and when you get there you have to deal with all the passengers. It would take quite a few people to be able to hold 230 something people hostage Say you just kill them, then you have to deal with killing over 200 people and then deal with the bodies. . Isn't there an easier way to get a plane, one that doesn't have 239 people on board?
  7. I used to lose my pickup every St. Patrick's Day. Once it took a week to find it. BTW, could this be the answer? (Note: Stole this one from Guard Dad)
  8. Sooooo, a commissioner should expect to be at best, not informed and at worst, deliberately mislead? That says a lot about the state of government affairs in Paulding County. What? You asked a question and received an answer and you didn't question whether that person was not telling the whole truth or was deliberately trying to mislead you or just plain lying to you? What kind of person are you? Ohhhhh, an honest one. Well sir! We just don't need your kind around here.
  9. Didn't they decide that pet boarding was against the Geneva Convention? Something about Guantanamo Bay and all that?
  10. I was in a minor fender bender a few years ago at the Walmart in Hiram. PCSO took the report. No cars were towed. I have no clue as to anything else that goes on.
  11. One of the worst last episodes for a TV series ever. By that point it had become the political platform for Alan Alda and Mike Farrell. The best series final show was on May 21, 1990. Newhart
  12. Sooooo, they were not trainable? My gosh, where will they go? Are they just wandering the streets, unable to find their way home? Perhaps we should stage a massive search for these people? (if so, no need to check public bathrooms)
  13. At this point I would think they could call a press conference and not only would all of what constitutes Paulding County media, but some of the Atlanta media would attend. How do they publish the info, how about during the open meetings, if they have done so it would be a matter of record and I wouldn't have a gripe. There have been public meetings that they have been invited to, there have been scheduled meetings where questions along the lines of "what are the exact plans" have been asked and not answered, the list goes on. As far as "so called secrets", I am of the opinion and yes it
  14. The wife is half Irish and half German, so expect her to just get drunk and invade me.
  15. My grandfather, who lived next door to us in Smyrna, had a lot of chickens in his turkey lot. The reason it was called the turkey lot was when I was very young he had turkey also. We would have to go through the turkey lot to get to my cousins house on the dead end street behind us, where we played a lot. Those turkeys were mean and would chase and peck you. I hated them. Turkeys are not only mean they are stupid, they will stand in the rain with their mouths open and drown themselves. I was glad when he got rid of them. "As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly."
  16. I am not downplaying the heartbreak of this story, or the ones like it, but it did remind me of something that happened in my family a few years ago. I have major issues with my brother, he is a good guy, but events over the years have caused me to only have contact when it is a family thing and then just be polite. After his last divorce my mother called me and told me that my brother was making changes to his legal papers and that he wanted to make me the person who decides when it is time to pull the plug. He had my mother call me first and run it by me, I was then supposed to call hi
  17. I oppose those who say one thing and do the other, especially when they work for me and the rest of the public. I have said many, many times, just be up front. Tell us exactly what circumstances caused you to go back on your word and exactly why you felt the need to do so. I'm a big boy, fairly bright, I can understand most if not all of why you are doing what you are doing, if you explain it. BTW, it is not incumbent on me to figure out what caused you to go back on your word, it is up to you to tell me. I oppose those who obfuscate and work in secret, then say trust me it is for your
  18. I agree 100%. Words: "never, ever would I be a part of that" Actions: Commercialization
  19. The tunnels are a running joke, so is Guard Dad and my bulldog having gas. OK, my bulldog and Guard Dad's gas isn't a joke, but it is in this thread. You will find the tunnels come up quite often. Well....since they are tunnels, they themselves don't actually come up, but talk about them does.
  20. Sorry about that, it was our bulldog. (don't listen to the wife, she is always blaming me for it, it was the dog, I swear)
  21. Kinda sickening ain't it. (just kidding pubby, I know you have marshmallow filling, I've seen you with the grandbaby)
