  1. I asked, please no negative things about anyone's religion. Please refrain from posting negative things about any religion in this thread. I thank you in advance for your cooperation.
  2. I bet she is saying to herself, "If only I had asked for 50 million."
  3. I had a good friend pass away a couple of years ago and I miss him. I not only miss him for all the obvious reasons, I miss him because he was a good enough friend to let me know when I was being a butt or doing something stupid. One of the biggest things he would do for me is when I would call him about an argument I would have with someone, usually someone that couldn't seem to grasp the simplest of things and would not listen to logic or reason. (usually this involved some customer non-service person) My friend would listen to my rant, which I am pretty good at, if I do say so mys
  4. Thank you for posting this information. While I have no idea why the charges were filed in the first place, if I really cared, I would call MS Devey and ask her that question. There are a lot of ways an innocent person can get sucked into something that they have no idea is not kosher. Now, if there were a history of charges, over and over, that were all dismissed, you could say there is enough smoke to wonder about fire. But a one time thing where the charges were dismissed? I would hate for someone to hold that against me. My father was once sued by a man that thought the world o
  5. I just love it when we get posts with bold letters, different fonts and colors. It's so pretty.
  6. I had a call from Cardmember Services, a huge scam, and I kept the lady on the line for over 5 minutes before I finally started reading her my Visa card number. I had only gotten a few digits out, F U, when she caught on and started cussing me. I laughed and laughed and laughed some more, all the while she was just a cussing me.
  7. Well...you were doing good till you aligned yourself with mrnn. (just kidding of course) Did you know that the Tarot were first used in a card game similar to the modern card games of bridge or rummy? Then in the late 1700's, the cards were revised and said to be the lost Egyptian Book of Thoth and used to tell the future. Interesting, at least to me.
  8. I have learned a lot from my Jewish friends about faith and God and other good stuff.
  9. This took place 12 yrs ago in 2002.I would think that this case has been settled one way or another. To bring it up now, without also stating the disposition of the case is not quite cricket. However, depending on the outcome of the case, it most certainly could be very relative to the citizens of Hiram and Paulding.
  10. I had someone from the federal government call me today. Not sure which branch, her accent was too thick and when I asked which branch she said she was with, she hung up on me. I was looking to have some fun.
  11. "The only good Indian, is a dead Indian." - General Philip H. Sheridan We have heard that saying for years (in fact it has been mentioned on pcom a few times lately), but what exactly does it mean? That the only good Indian was one that is no longer breathing? I think most of us would say, yes, that is what it means. Would your opinion of that saying change if you knew of another saying that was very popular at the same time as Gen. Sheridan made his famous saying? That saying, which was just as famous at the time, was this, "Kill the Indian, save the man." What did that saying
  12. I can vouch for mrnn being a good guy, even if he is a godless atheist, left wing nut, pablum spouting liberal. Hmmmmm, after reading that I may change my opinion. Let's not get carried away. PS mrnn is a yankee also, I left that out
  13. Not sure what Dick Cheney & GWB have to do with little ole Paulding county. But....ok??
  14. Interesting. I think I have been to Watertown, Mass. Just over the state line from RI, isn't it? Had a restaurant with a waterwheel?

  16. Just let that Burr fellow go free.
  17. Interesting, Armenian Church, is it hard to find on of those?
  18. We differ on this one. BTW, I do still love my ex-wife, but for sanity and safety, I try to love her from afar...very afar. Another BTW, that love does not affect my love for my wife, just as love for more than one child, parent, grandchild affects the love for the rest.
  19. I understand what you are saying and the point you are trying to make. But (yep, there is a but), let me put it this way. When you are the "expert" and you are selling the citizens on something and you say that their biggest concern is groundless, because, if it was a possibility, you would "never ever" have anything to do with the project, then yes, you need to stand by that. You want to buy some land that and I am the person heading up the sell of that land to you. But, you have great concerns that there will be low rent apartments built on the land next to the land you are thinking o
