    I had to get a personal cell phone and the wife insisted that I get a smart phone. I think she was secretly hoping to get a great deal on the phone she wanted and she was going to give me her old one. That didn't happen, in fact, they started saying all this stuff about why I was going to have to pay big bucks for the phone I did get instead of what they told us in the beginning. Thus my having to show some of my rear and working up the food chain.

    Someone sent this to me this morning. The "holy moly" line at the bottom is from what they sent me, not from me. It appears, at least if this is correct, that the ebola is on par with HepC on the average number of people one person will infect and half the average number of people that someone with aids will infect. If this is correct, then it makes me wonder about a couple of things. One, how in the heck are so many people getting the ebola? Are they just so backward that they cannot understand what is being said to them or are they just so against modern....anything....that they reje

    They had to be in their 20's or not from the south. My mother loves, loves, loves fried okra. It is no exaggeration when I say that she rarely misses a day without having fried okra. She has been known to have it for breakfast.

    Has anyone checked the temperature in Hell? I have a feeling if it isn't below freezing, it is at least in the mid 30's. I have a smart phone. Long story. Involves me showing my rear end some, climbing the food chain some, but in the end, I have a smart phone. It is a Droid MAXX. I can use it to.......make phone calls............sorta.

    That was not my intention, I was trying to point out that man is not always as smart as he thinks and that Mother Nature has some tricks up her sleeves. Given that WWI was coming to end in 1918, it is interesting to me that the flu killed more people that WWI did.

    Sugar free, don't tell the wife. I have to buy and eat them when she is not around. Some men sneak out to be with women, some to gamble, some to drink, some to use drugs...me I get ice cream.

    I posted this, in the middle of a long post, in the other ebola thread. What is the worst disaster to happen to modern man? It was the flu. I will repeat that, it was the flu. The 1918 flu epidemic killed, that is killed, 3% to 5% of the world's population. That is between 50 to 100 million people. It is believed to have infected around 500 million people. In one week, almost 5,000 people died in the city of Philadelphia alone. And that was during a time when most people never traveled more than 50-100 miles from where they were born.

    I remember this same discussion when the aids was starting up bigger. IMO, there is truth and good points on both sides. If my memory is correct, they finally decided that the major spread of aids was due to what they referred to as Patient Zero. Patient Zero was an homosexual airline attendant, if memory serves, from Canada (or England?), who through his job, traveled across the US having a HUGE amount of sex, mostly in bathhouses. Patient Zero knew he had the aids virus during this time (for either a large part of it or all of it) and still behaved this way knowingly. My memory is t
