  1. Yep. I misspelled it. Didn't run it through the spell checker and spelling is something I am terrible at. I fixed it but I can't edit the topic title for some reason. Isn't a grammar nazi a no-no? I got a bullet for that once. Hold on. I'm not calling out anybody. I only asked a question about what is plagiarism. Evidently several people don't know so I want to see how many don't know this. I just pulled one your posts at random. I'm not talking about Fair Use. I am only asking to see how many people know that not putting someone's direct words in quotation mark
  2. They do care. But if that's your postion, ok. Tell that to Joe Biden and his 1988 presidential bid. Still that is not what I asked. I asked if it is plagarism to take someone's words and hold them as your own. Forget the message board. Is it plagarism? And you may want to check out this link. http://community.lawyers.com/forums/t/51689.aspx
  3. No citation is necessary for axioms but is necessary for lenghty quotes.
  4. You would be surprised about that. It's still a violation of copyright laws. I agree it's not that big of a deal in small posts. But I'm not asking that. I'm asking is it still plagarism.
  5. Is it plagiarism to quote a lengthy section of another's exact words, put them in a paper with no quotation marks or italics and cite no source where they came from? For example. If I wrote this. I have said here for quite some time that the answer to stability in the financial industry is the simple premise that if they are too big to fail, then they are too big to exist. Apparently we have some agreement on that fact. The devil is, as always, in the details, but I hope that a workable piece of regulation will come out of this without the requisite power grab by the administration.
  6. Understandable in that she was frustrated to the point of snapping and making a terrible decision.
  7. I don't think anybody is saying the teacher is excused, just understandable how it could happen. She should still be fired at least. She was wrong. No excuse. Understandable but no excusable.
  8. Yep. My neighbor kid is a real jerk. So his is dad but that is another story. My youngest got into it with the kid several times. I've almost lost my religion over him a few times too. It can happen. And I'ma good person. Ask anybody on here 'cept in the political forum.
  9. What a breath of fresh air. And you are a persistant booger. Get ready for the Jackals to pounce. You must be assimilated.
  10. Huh? I asked how you would enforce the contract. You're the one that said you would cut them off the welfare. I then asked what then? What about the kid? What about those that do get pregnant? You're dodging the questions really well. How do you get that? I didn't say anything like that. I asked how naturegirl would enforce that contract of no kids. The logic of extremism is baffling.
  11. Just pointing out that your statement is the same as his. Is that where you want to be positionally? I don't think so. Might want to rethink the position.
  12. I have my ideas. You have yours. We have a government that makes decisions. We agree to abide by that because we are ruled by law. So we engage the process. I don't see it as harming us at all because the numbers ay different. Oh, well. It is what it is.
  13. And what you're saying is what he said. Might want to think about your position in that regard.
  14. Now you're a mind reader too? You know what I am thinking in my head? Thanks for playing but I'll take the loving departing gifts now. Where do those folks who are unemployed or underemployed going to get the money to pay for their own private health insurance now, if they can even get it with pre-existing conditions? We all pay for it and we all benefit.
  15. There was a certain man who said that about 80 years ago in Central Europe. An Austrian by birth. Later rose to be a national leader. He's in the history books.
  16. Healthcare benefits everybody just like education. We all agree that there is a societal benefit in people having medical care.
  17. We all agree to pay for it so everybody gets it and benefits just like with education, roads, military and law enforcement.
  18. Really? OK. I said German was a nationality. You came back with the Aryan Race thing (silly argument but OK). I showed Aryan was a subset ethnic group of Caucasin. You said not all Africans are black and that is what I said with not all Germans are white because being German is a nationality. Then you come back with this? What is not computing for you? So they are not human if they don't act responsibly. That must mean they are less than human? Wow. There might just be something to that Aryan race thing you've got going.
  19. Now you're claiming to be God again with that ability to be all knowing so that you just know they lack the drive? Couldn't possibly be a medical cause, a mental cause, a physical cause or a societal cause that definately impacts them. Couldn't possibly be any of those. I bet you jump on the societal causation part of this post and ignore the rest because it is easy to spin that part and claim it is all that person's fault. Not true, but I'll go ahead and just address that now.
  20. I said it was a nationality just like all Africans are not black and not all Germans are white. So you are agreeing that what you said was wrong?
  21. I'm praying it does pass! It can still happen. At least the employee won't have to worry about losing everything if he gets sick looking for another job.
  22. That's not what you said, is it? You said As a true German American I find your comments racist and offensive. You didn't say Aryan. You said German American. German is not a race. It is a nationality. Also, Aryan is not a race but an Caucasian ethnic group. If you're going to quote from the Wiki article, quote it in CONTEXT. The Aryan race is a concept historically influential in European culture and American culture in the period of the late 19th century and early 20th century. It derives from the idea that the original speakers of the Indo-European languages and their descendants up
  23. Tell that to the unemployed right now who are losing everything. I hear ya. I feel what you're saying. I'm just saying I see the other side that I'm talking about all the time, too.
  24. That's was not the question I asked. Nice dodge. I asked how you would enforce that contract other than cutting off the welfare that would cut off any money for the parent to support the child. I asked if you force sterilization. I asked if you would surgically prevent pregnancy while on welfare. I asked if you would require the pregnancy be terminated. I asked if you would remove the child from the parent when it is born and let the government become its parent. You didn't answer a single on of those questions. It is not up to you or the government be the moral police for citizens. They do th
