Me too! We have had AT&T for eight years, and I am so fed up with the service! It didn't seem to be this bad a few years back, but now it's awful. I'll make a call with five bars and it will just not go through.....sometimes it takes ten attempts before the phone will actually connect and call. I went to AT&T and asked them about a "booster" or even a different phone- they said it wouldn't help. I have only had this phone for a year- it's a Palm- and now I'll be paying to get out of my contract and going to Verizon. my husband's contract is up on August 1, so I'll pay the early termina

Good evening pcom! My husband and I are hoping to take our 18 month old to Carrollton's Midtown Water Park tomorrow- if the weather holds up. He loves the water, and it seems like an affordable alternative to Sun Valley or White Water with such a young child. Has anyone been? How busy is it on Saturdays? It is good for a little one? Thanks for any and all info!

I also had a bad feeling about PKU...just didn't feel right about it. I felt good about SSH when we visited there, but it was out of our way. My 18 month old is at the YMCA Early Learning Center in Hiram, and we love it!

Wow- this topic has gotten out of hand. The op just wanted to know what school it was, and now, it's become an argument about whether or not students who are bad deserve to go to bad schools...my husband works in that building, the program for students with autism is called "LEAP". It's an excellent program that is producing excellent results for these children, and most parents have nothing but good things to say about it. Not to mention, a number of school district departments and employees work in that building. It doesn't stink, it's not crappy or ugly, and it's not dirty. At least we are

We also use Dr. Cantrell at Cobb Pediatrics- we love the practice so far. Our son is one year old, and we have many friends who use Cobb Pediatrics also. They have Saturday sick appts, later afternoon appts, and they are okay with a delayed vaccine schedule as we are doing that with our son. They don't make a seperate appt. for the vaccines after the well check, but, they have walk-in injection hours where you can come in without an appointment and be seen pretty quickly. We are very happy with them. Good luck!

I have tried it- I loved it! The prices for custom cakes were very reasonable, and I tried the regular cupcakes and the coconut cupcakes- delicious!

The food is delicious! I want to come by for breakfast, but, can only come on the weekends. I hope you guys start serving breakfast on the weekends soon. Thanks for delivering lunch to us at work today- it was excellent as usual!

I grew up at Douglasville FUMC, and now my husband and son go there as well. We have two traditional services- 8:30 and 11am- and one seperate contemporary service at 11 also. We are located across from Wellstar Douglas on Hospital drive. The website is www.douglasvillefumc.com Our average attendance for all three services and Sunday School is about 600. I hope you'll come visit us, and feel free to ask me any questions about specific programs.

YMCA in Hiram- great place! Our seven month old goes there (off for the summer, but will be returning in a couple of weeks).

I agree completely! We'll be told to take a "day off" at the end of the nine weeks, yet all exams will still need to be graded, and grades posted online, and report cards printed, etc....I guess we'll just do that at home. That's nothing new to us teachers, though, as we are used to spending hours at home each week working in addition to our time in our buildings. I'm just curious where three days are going to come from by Dec. 21- if they take a pre-planning day, I'm sure we would all need to know that by now.

There are a lot of free concerts in the area ( I put together a list for my students' families at the end of the school year). Some are at Centennial Olympic Park in the early evening. That would be a nice thing to attach to "fountain swimming" in the Olympic Ring Fountain. Check www.accessatlanta.com for more info. Also- the Mable House Ampitheater in Austell has some free concerts this summer- one saturday a month. It's a nice outside venue- maybe you could bring a picnic or something.

Wow- why would you get on here and say something like that? Every family makes their own decisions about what's best for them...what makes you think you have the right to tell other people what they should be doing with their children? Both my husband and I work. As teachers, we don't make enough money for one of us to stay home. Besides- we love our jobs!

I second that- My 6 month old goes there (will, he did until Summer Break. He'll be back in August). We checked every place in Paulding County, and felt best about the YMCA. Alot of school board employees and teachers use it, which says a lot for their program. Their preschool classes are incredible! Much better than any other Pre-K classes we checked out.
