When I was a teen going to Athens Y Camp we used to catch all the snakes and critters we could find to use in our nature studies for the campers. I hear ya about the timber rattlers, we usually caught at least one every summer. More than one it took a couple of us to handle to big ones. I just held their heads down with the longest freaking stick I could find while our nature director came in to actually catch it.

Not a big fan of Omaha Steaks. The steaks were OK, you can get better from West Metro, but once you order from them they will HOUND you to death! Took me damn near 18 months to get them to quit calling me. Lobster Gram was the same way.

Speaking of Owls, Hawks and Crows. I have an old cassette tape that on one side has the sounds of Crows and a Hawk fighting and the other side is Crows and an Owl. The tape is an from an old game call thing my dad had back in the day. What is funny about it is that you can play the tape on a boom box really loud outside and watch the Crows from all around come flying in looking for a good fight.

We came and ate at Rodney's. I REALLY wish we could have parked and walked around and met everyone. I'm still quite limited in my mobility or we would have. When we parked at Rodney's I could hear Laurie's voice for sure. Calling out bingo, I think. We saw Mark at the auction table. As we were heading out we saw goof ball Curtis at a podium doing what Curtis does. He's such a ham. I look forward to getting more involved in our community. I just have to get past my current health problems.
