Help me with a explanation if you can figure this out please

Q. I have inherited money/property. What do I need to do for Georgia taxes? A. Georgia has no inheritance tax. Check with the IRS to see if anything needs to be included in income. Georgia's estate tax is based on federal estate tax law, and if any estate tax is due, it should be paid by the estate representative before the assets are distributed. Yes, it is paid by the ESTATE prior to the assets being distributed. The persons who are heirs pay nothing. That is what I was referring to. -
FYI, I'm waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay past vinegar, kelp, grape juice, DMSO and other "natural" treatments. The BEST I could hope from any of those would be some pain relief, maybe. I've been that route already. And still had so much pain I had to resort to medical intervention. I attempted "home", "natural" treatments for almost 35 years and now have so much joint damage that there is nothing more to be done. Nothing will rebuild the cartilage that is gone, nothing will reverse the damage that has been done. In addition, I have conditions OTHER than arthritis that come into play and contribute

so true. I'm involved in two estates right now and fortunately the heirs in both of them get along great and don't really care about what their portion is. While I'd love to have the small amount of money due from both, because it would help me tremendously at the current time, it doesn't matter to me if I get anything. -

If the money hasn't been repaid, it can't be included in divisible assets because it doesn't exist. Note to OP, did your dad just *very* recently pass away?? -
There are a number of different brand names for it. I was actually given Hylan.

There is no "inheritance tax". If you receive an inheritance, it is not taxable. -
fortunately, thus far, I have had no problems with the injection. #2 is next Monday.

My mom passed away almost 7 years ago. We're all still waiting to see the first dime. The executor of the estate felt 2005 was not a good real estate market so she refused to put the house on the market. Now, almost seven years later it's falling down. It wasn't in good shape in 2005 but it has virtually NO value now. -

It would depend on what the will stated. Inheritances will separate a family faster than anything else. We plan on dying penniless. -
My doc didn't even call it "Synvisc". That is a brand name. Just wondering if I will feel the same way about KFC now.

I've tried all the supplements. That is one reason my osteoarthritis was as severe as it was when I was finally diagnosed--I had self-treated for about 30 years. Fish oil, especially if it contains any form of Vitamin E, just tears me up as I am allergic to Vitamin E. As to the "Nu-Joint" I will not be putting DMSO in or on my body anywhere. The thing about the supplements and knee pain, some of the supplements are NOT recommended for osteoarthritis of the knee. Supplements such as chrondotin and glucosamine. They do seem to help pain in the knee from cartilage problems bu

Not sure if it never leaves your body, but I do know it's bad on your body and particularly on your joints. When we had our dog, he got cortisone shots for his spinal disorder. The vet said that the cortisone would shorten his life. OTOH, it would give him a better quality of life so it was a matter of weighing the benefits with the risks. Me, I'm not wanting to have more cortisone. I've had too many already.

I've almost reached the limit on cortisone in any form. I had good results with cortisone injections, too. Just can't have many more of them. Two in that knee is about all he's willing to do since I've had quite a few in other joints in the past. He said I "should" feel relief after the third injection. I'm hoping. It wasn't hurting as bad as it was even in October when I had cortisone so hopefully it won't get that bad again. My last cortisone injection gave me 11 days of relief. Yep, eleven days! Believe me, it was a long 4 months. I was hoping he would do one mo

I know there are a few people on here who have had these. I just can't remember who you are. I have questions for you. How long before you saw improvement in your knee pain? How long did the pain relief last? Have you had to have them repeated? I had my first injection on Friday. No pain relief as yet. Thank goodness it wasn't as bad as it was before I had the first cortisone shot or else I'd be in misery waiting for the relief to come!

Want to find as many legal loopholes as I can

Thank Congress for that. It was done to encourage investment. And while we're on the subject of earned income from working, how would you like to come up with a couple of grand in April instead of getting a refund? Me, I'd much rather pay in April than get a refund. I hate the idea of loaning money to the government for free. -
My heartfelt sympathy to all her family, especially to Cheri. I worked with Cindy about 25 years ago. She was a wonderful, funny person. I just wish her sister had been able to convince her to have lunch with us one day. :(

You have to have INCOME in order to get the earned income credit OR the child tax credit. I'm so frustrated right now about my daughter's tax return that I could pull my hair out! They could really use the refund and yet, they are getting squat. Someone making $35,000 will get a larger refund than them. -

It's amazing the misconceptions and misinformation there is out there about taxes. If you're filing ANYTHING different, you need to have a pro look at it to make sure you're doing it correctly ESPECIALLY if it's related to a business. I thank my lucky stars for the great accountant I had when we started our business back in the mid-1980s. Honestly, it is because of her patience and guidance with us (especially ME) that I am where I am today with my own business. -
You know I will!!

How cool!!

I have a problem with that, too. It's not the store's responsibility to guarantee the safety of people ON THE SIDEWALK! I don't care if he did come out of the store, it's still not their responsibility.

She is!! I cherish my friendship with her.
