Spent the day cutting, splitting and stacking firewood. Good time to do some pondering and wondered how long we could survive with no amenities. Pre-2001 I would have agreed with you 100%. Fortunately I needed to cash in some stocks in the spring of 2001 to purchase a piece of real estate we had been wanting so just by shear luck we missed what would have been a substantial loss.
