Had it not been for a fast moving karma train we might all be filing for bankruptcy this November. None of this can be blamed on the current administration.

The cave on 113 between Rockmart and Taylorsville is close to my family's old home place. My grandfather and some of his buddies spent a few days in that cave. I haven't heard that story in a long time and the details are sketchy. My dad told me about it when I was a teenager and was doing some caving but my dad passed away a few years ago. I'll ask my uncles if they remember anything about it.

Most of them have already lost properties and money, but when a person hurts another person; especially when they hurt someone they have authority over, they will tend to have to pay with something that hurts them even more than their wealth.

I am betting Mr. Graham didn't just make a knee jerk decision on this fire station (like the former chairman and the commissioner for that district were hoping for). I am also confident that there will be a huge savings compared to the first proposal. Seems to me an expandable facility would make sense in this county.

Anyone that depends on government to feed, protect or house them is dependent on government (thus the government teat comment). Most of us are perfectly capable of deciding whether or not we need to buckle up without some jack leg politician forcing us to do it. And then some of us aren't are we? I have to wonder why Jerry had the foresight to recommend a hiring freeze and he had the foresight to be able to tell the small-time builders that they should slow down but around that same time he was pushing for a school bond like the growth would never stop.
