With the holidays upon us I would like to share a personal experience with my family & friends about drinking and driving. As you may know some of us have been known to have brushes with the authorities from time to time on the way home after a "social session" out with friends. Well, three days ago I was out for an evening with friends and had several cocktails, followed by some rather nice red wine. Feeling jolly I still had the sense to know that I may be over the limit. That's when I did something that I've never done before ... I took a cab home! Sure e

I do have one gripe. In this age of technology don't you think it would be possible to put a freakin elevator on A/F 1 and get rid of those stairs? Clinton and Bush are getting a little old to be doing all that climbing. -

Further proof that the media is our worst enemy. The left is no worse than the right when it comes to selling drama. My linkhttp://www.policymic.com/articles/76375/8-photos-you-didn-t-see-from-obama-s-trip-to-south-africa

No. Strange case. I hope the parents get closure.

I prefer the Castros over Mandela. They have some dang good cigars.

PIp, That is all fine and dandy. And I don't disagree with the sentiment. No matter how you slice it, Mandela was not a great American nor did he do anything heroic FOR America. I disagree with the flag being lowered to half mast in his honor and I think history should be accurate, warts and all. Not just the 8x10 glossy stuff. Personally, my opinion of Mandela will always be less than yours and others. And I can respectfully disagree with you. No pissing match. South Africa is far worse off than just a lack of education. The people with money have left and nothing is there but

translation: I get all my "facts" from CNN (Communist News Network). If CNN says it, I believe it, that settles it.

Maybe she should do a show hunting nekid. Give a whole new meaning to "I can see Russia from here."

My wife said she would pay big bucks for a Sany's Hi-Lo right now.

I didn't go to either, but if your brother that went to Pebblebrook was there in the early to mid seventies, I bet I know him. I was supposed to be at South Cobb but logged more hours at Pebblebrook. My wife went to Kenwood Elementary and Pebblebrook. Oh, and if you lived there you probably knew or at least knew of the Hembee brothers. I just heard that Dennis passed away a few days ago.

Hey now! I rode in a fairly new Ford pick up the other day that had crank windows and rubber floor mats. I was impressed.

Do you go back to the Dog and Suds days?

I noticed my wife pulling in the drive one day in the rain and all that was on was her daytime driving lights. Apparently it wasn't dark enough to turn the headlights on. Problem with that is she had no tail lights or side markers. Just give me a switch and I can figure it out from there. I would also prefer to have some crank up windows but you can't get those any more either. They just don't cost enough when they break.

My truck and Jeep don't have auto lights. My wife's car has all the bells and whistles. I hardly ever drive it but I did drive it all last week while we were in Florida. I just reach down and turn the lights and fogs on when it is raining. And I am ready to go back to Florida today. Friday we were sitting on the beach in 90 degree sunshine.

If you have your lights in auto mode, you will have to turn them on manually. I think that is the reason there are so many not on in the rain. And if you have auto running lights you have to remember that you have no tail lights.

I have always heard that there is a reason for everything. Looks like the reason Mandela kicked the bucket is so Pubby could come out of the closet about his love and admiration for Newt.

Like I have said before, I am not intimidated by some numb nutz calling me a racist or a bigot. Most "callers"don't know the difference in the two. Problem is finding proof. Find the last 20 black folks that I have been in contact with and have them testify against me to prove your case. You will find that NOT ONE OF THEM will say that I am either. You WILL find that pretty much the same people that I think are sorry as hell, they will think is sorry as hell too. I guess most of my black friends are "Uncle Tom blacks to you Democrappers/

That's the problem with you people. You think because someone with some form of status has an opinion that everyone else should respect. Mandela was a murdering communist 30 years ago and that hasn't changed one little bit as far as I am concerned. If you and Pip want to kiss the African's ass, pucker the hell up. But don't try to make me kiss his sorry ass because IT AIN'T HAPPENIN'! My dad had more intell and more intelligence than anyone I know of these days, with the possible exception of Leif Babin. He knew 20 years ago that Mandela was a no good SOB. The only thing that has cha

You consider this peace? Crime Rate in South Africa That's what you get when you let the fox guard the hen house. Not at all unlike what we have going on in this country right now. But I am saving my old tires and a few gallons of gasoline since the liberals in this country don't seem to have a problem with that. We might try that when we re-take this country from the poor.

Nope. I would agree with you. I have a funny story about ol' JB. Me and two buddies were eating at Campbells Restaurant in Smyrna one morning. Now I am almost 6-3 and I was the smallest of the three of us. JB was in the place trying to politic when he was running for office. My buddy told him we weren't interested and JB didn't seem to hear him. Before I knew what happened the three of us were all over JB (all700 lean mean pounds of 3 construction workers were about to shred ol' JB. Once he had a better understanding of the word NO, he got in his car and left.

Makes you wonder why he would go to Mandela's and not Ms. Thatcher's doesn't it? Could it be that Mandela was black and Ms. Thatcher wasn't? But that would be racist wouldn't it? BTW, "W" and Clinton are also going to Mandela's funeral. That called HAVING CLASS. Something Obama should learn.
