  9. Pageants are just like any other activity, you pay for them to participate. In return, they learn life skills. Pageants are no different from football, cheerleading, competitive dance, gymnastics, or even a swim team. They need motivation, practice, training, skills, and a desire to want to do it. And thru all of that, they will learn great life skills, such as self respect, self confidence, team building, people skills ( which should be a requirement for kids these days ), ability to perform in front of a crowd, that if you want something bad enough you have to work for it, self motivatio
