Imagine that you had won the following prize in a contest: Each morning your bank would deposit $86,400.00 in your private account for your use.. However, this prize has rules, just as any game has certain rules. The first set of rules would be: Everything that you didn't spend during each day would be taken away from you. You may not simply transfer money into some other account. You may only spend it. Each morning upon awakening, the bank opens your account with another $86,400.00 for that day. The second set of rules: The bank can end the game wi

Good luck, I feel your pain...I have 3 kids, 2 girls ( 8th grade & 3rd grade ) and 1 boy (1st grade) and our mornings are crazy to say the least. But I think we are FINALLY in a routine as the kids have gotten older, so all I have to do is tell them to get up, make sure they are up and just remind them of a few things in the morning rather than having to supervise / help them with everything. My son is the KING of 5 more minutes. He throws his clothes on and will sleep for 5-10 more minutes, and eat his breakfast in the car on the way to school in the mornings. My kids will attest to m

I use to have my daughter pick 3 outfits out each night and that way she could choose depending on her mood in the morning. I made it known she HAD to choose from those 3, she didn't have time to fuss about it. Your daughter sounds alot like my 8 year old and the little diva / princess that she is. LOL She has to match her headbands, bracelets, shoes, etc.... and with picture day yesterday, OMG, it was One of her favorite shows is toddlers and tiaras, go figure.

THAT explains everything!!! LOL

Yesterday evening at 6 pm, I was dropping off my carpool riders at Stars & Strikes and there were approx 8 police cars there in the parking lot. Couldn't tell what was going on, but it was something in the parking lot, not inside....Anyone know what was going on? Curious minds want to know

I keep a few special ones and trash the rest when they aren't looking. Something that looks cute, shows their imagination, their writing, a story, or something they made special for me are the ones I keep. It gets very overwhelming with everything they send home. I also heard a suggestion of taking a picture of everything and then trash it, that way you can always go back and look at the pictures.

Emerson is GROWING, because it has room. That area is growing because it can grow without it being priced ridiciously. This is a great location / area for Bartow, Cobb, and Paulding. It should allow for growth in the NE part of paulding county as it's not that far away. It will bring jobs not just to the complex, but to the areas around it that will have to grow as well to accomodate the people that come to the complex. I see this as being a good thing. -
I think it depends on alot of factors: where you live, what the kids he/she will be playing with are like, how he/she is on a maturity level, and how comfortable you are. We live in a culdesac with GREAT neighbors with lots of kids around my kids ages. We let our 6 1/2 year old son go outside and play without supervision. We know who he's playing with and what they are doing. The kids are not bad influences and around his age. Now if we lived on a busy street or in a neighborhood where we didn't feel comfortable with the kids he would be playing with, or that he didn't have the se

I don't think it's a claustrophobic kinda thing, he HAS been working in the tunnels, and I've heard that the ones under the NEW fred's are really tight. I have a really good friend that heard he's planning a party for the inlaws at Oga's so he can come out of the closet. This came from a friend of the barber who cuts the hair of his aunts mechanic's stepson's teacher's husband's uncle who knows his boyfriends cousin's sister in law's illigetimate daughter. So you KNOW it's true. but shhh, don't tell anyone, don't want to ruin the surpise

our 13 yo is told lights, computer, phone out at 11, 8 & 6 year old, we start their bedtime routine between 8 & 8:30....they fall asleep between 9-10, depends on the night. The 13 & 8 yo get up at 6:30-6:45, and the 6 yo gets up between 7/ 7:15. I too wish I could get them to bed earlier, it just doesn't happen.

curious though....made contact, I wonder if that means "pulled over" -
I am a courteous driver but this particular instance seems to be above and beyond the call of duty. I will let people out and in, but I don't impeed the flow of traffic to do it. Does that make sense? This didn't cause rage or ruin my day, but it did make me go, what the heck...go! LOL I just found it to be going out of the way to be nice, that's all. Guess my view is not normal.
-
that's the first thing that came to my mind, was strep....that seems to be my families illness of choice . None are running fevers and they are still playing and acting normal, so I'm gonna let it be a cold / allergies until they start acting like they are sick.

I have a question about being OVERLY courteous. The other driver thread had me wondering about this other extreme. Say you are driving down a busy road, like E.Paulding Dr. You are going to make a right hand turn onto another road. WHY would you come to a complete stop and allow 2 cars that are coming off of that road to turn left? These other cars were not in the way of you turning right, you are just being nice and allowing them to turn left. I see this more and more and I wonder why has it become so popular to go out of your way to be nice to other drivers? I understand if
