  1. Josephine, thank you. My wife and Ia re very excited about our cruise. We leave tomorrow for Miami. I always plan to arrive the day before and relax rather than panic due to flight or luggage delays/cancellations.
  2. Josephine, way to go. If my wife and I weren't sailing on the RCI Jewel on Friday, I'd think about joining you on Princess. They are on my list to sample.
  3. When he gets to the point he can afford what he really wants, I'd be glad to offer advice if he wants it.
  4. If you're still looking, there is a 2003 Buick Century for sale in my subdivision. I recall the price being $3900.
  5. Don't waste your money on anything other than real driver training: http://www.1800bepet...afeDriving.aspx Our Goal The Safe Driving Program uses a researched based curriculum, which is designed to give young drivers a hands-on learning experience which will build confidence and skills. The critical elements of our program are the following: Create awareness by placing students in compromising situations in a controlled environment. Professional driving instructors coach students through the corrective responses. Educate young drivers about the dangers associated with operating
  6. I installed our vent free fireplace in our bedroom about 4 years ago. You will get a slight gas smell when it first starts. We don't leave the pilot on. We only turn it on in the evenings when it is cool. However, if you still smell gas when it is running, turn it off and check the fittings on the line running from the gas line to the fireplace. Usually, sunning up the nuts (don't force them!!!) solves any leaking problems.
  7. I hear that. We are available Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Here is one of the songs that we'll sing: Heart of My Heart The quartet is made up of four guys.
  8. Here is a really great idea for Valentine's!! My wife loved hers last year. My barbershop chorus, Marietta's Big Chicken Chorus will be delivering Singing Valentines again this year on Friday the 12th, Saturday the 13th or Sunday the 14th. Give your sweetheart a Singing Valentine! Book one of our quartets to deliver a Singing Valentine, a card (with your message of love) and a rose to your special someone. We deliver in person or by telephone anywhere in the Continental U.S. Here is a promotional movie: http://data.membercl...c/Telegrams.mov For more information and to place a
  9. We are on Comast and pay 42.95 per month. It has been 99% reliable. I'd love to find an ISP who is as reliable and as fast for less $$$$.
  10. I agree but I also think that each line appeals to a different crowd. My one sailing with Carnival was OK but not really memorable like other cruises I've been on (about 9 total) so I've not been back on their ships.
  11. These links will help: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1038494 http://www.parksleepfly.com/ Enter Tampa and you will get results of five hotels with parking (not sure it's free)
  12. Another excellent resource. You can find reviews of the Elation on Cruise Critic as well. I have been an active member of the forum for several years..all sorts of good information and many differing opinions on everything.
  13. Yes, I saw that. I sailed Carnival in the early 90s and have never sailed them a second time.
  14. I suggest you check out the reviews on Cruise Critic: http://www.cruisecri...e2.cfm?ShipID=8 The Holiday is an older ship. My wife and I sailed the NCL Spirit out of New Orleans last year - great ship and wonderful cruise. You might consider it as an alternative.
  15. We've never stayed there but, if you've not visited Tripadvisor: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Search?returnTo=__2F__Hotels&q=Nickelodeon+Suites+Resort&sub-search=Search&geo=298428 70% recommend it. That would be good enough for me if I wanted to book a Disney property and spend the $$$.
  16. I've driven I-20 out and I-10 back. Stay as far south as possible.
  17. Good reasons to watch FNC and avoid the others. I saw the graph of the Mass. senate race coverage too. I was not surprised.
  18. Good point. CNN and (p)MSNBC definitely are "the news that nobody watches and that spread all the misinformation".
  19. Fox News is much more mainstream than CNN, (p)MSNBC, ABC, CBS and NBC...so, yes. Fox is the home of mainstream news.
  20. Are you saying that conservatives outnumber progs? Or, simply that more people watch Fox News that the prog/lib drivel on (p)MSNBC and CNN? I wonder what COWA/JUGHAID will have to say about this? Is the lib/prog media slowly dying? I sure hope so.
  21. I'm just happy to be on your list.
  22. Oh!! Oh!! Carol, take me please, pretty please!
  23. The only noise I want to hear is the sound of a 350+ horse V8 with a tuned exhaust system starting up. I bet that your husband would find that to be music to his ears.
