I worked on a Rehab floor in the hospital here in Paulding County. I was in the dining room with the patients that morning giving medications and was watching in disbelief as the plane had just hit the first building. One of the patients said in such a shocked voice " I use to live where I could see those buildings ". Sadly we then watched the next plane hit the second building. I told one of the nurses in the hallway what had happened and she just looked at me like i had lost it, but didn't respond. She said it took her a minute for it to sink in then she came and joined the patients and the

Who went to High School in Cobb County
cheryl37 replied to cookies are sweet's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Hi again, Just decided to look back at this post. Yes Loretta did go to Wills also. We lived at the Reed Street apartments across the street from the Smyrna Elementary. We moved from there to Belmont Hills so you prob. went to school together there also. Remember coach Wooten. I think of those days often. Loretta would be happy to know that someone here remembers this part of her life. What was your name and i will tell her that I saw this post. And she works here in Paulding so sometime you will have to stop by and say hi to her. We both along with our husbands moved to Paulding in 1979. -

I voted and I feel it's a blessing and an honor to vote. One day I may not be able to so I plan on getting my vote in every chance I get...

Dr. Goolsby is a great doctor- I am a nurse at Wellstar Paulding and he is a great man. I have seen him at the nursing home feed a patient of his while he was there to visit him. He was a friend of his from his church. He is woderful. Also alot of my patients love Dr. Ryant.. A great dentist is Micheal Mulkey located off 120 in Dallas.

Thanks for all the replies..very helpful..yes he passed...
-
Yes, he's in 8th grade and said the teacher told him he passed but the report card on has the P on it. Do they notify you if the student fails.
-
Grandson got a P on the end of year status however he got a 783 on the science section of ccrts. Do the p mean pass or how do you know if its pass or fail?

Dr. Oz (who i adore)says that the only chap stick that doesn't have a certain type wax in it(cant remember the wax type)is Burt's bees wax. I got the 3 pack tubes at target and it is wonderful. He said that it was the only one that is not addictive. The first time i used it i loved it but it does have a slight mint taste. You dont have that feeling of having to keep putting it on your lips...

sorry the subdivision is called oliver place....for the above lights...
-
Not sure if anyone has mentioned but some of the most beautiful lights is in oliver chase sub division. There are a few houses, i think five that put up light to a radio station you set your car radio to and the lights beat to the sound of the music. It's in a culdesac you cant miss, lots of cars go there and it is just inside the subdivision. Beautiful lights. you can google it and the info is on the site. oliver chase subdivision is on dallas-acworth hwy right pass the new hope area on the left. worth seeing. santa is in the window and waves to the children and looks realistic.

I haven't been on that particular diet however, the adkins diet has those guidelines in it and i can tell you after two days of no sugar what so ever you will no longer crave sweets. You just look at them and no cravings. But be careful because there is sugar in keptchup and some things you dont think has sugar does. But if you do need something sweet you can get atkins bars that have sugar alcohols in them and do not restir the sugar cravings. Good luck with the diet.

I seen Kirstey Alley on the oprah show where she said she use to work as a house cleaner. She had stated to use car wax paste to clean you furniture with. I bought some cheap turtle wax paste and put it on my end table and coffee table. Moved it in circles as you would your car. After it dries you buff it out with a clean cloth and it works great.....love the shine and no wax build up or feel to the tables. Just a beautiful shine. She also suggested to use vodka to clean everything in the bathroom but haven't tried that yet.

I cant help but feel that if you work as a server then you should expect that there will be times that one will only leave small tips or even no tip. Yes I have worked as a waitress and I do know how it feels. I work at a hospital and I cant help but think that the girls working as cna's make 7.50 hour to wipe some of you readers moms and dads butts. Thats hard work.. Working as a waitress you at least dont have that to deal with. All i'm saying is there is always gonna be low paying jobs and yes once your son gets through colledge then hopefully he'll remember where he came from but as long a
