I agree, I miss the Publix in Hiram. The one at Lost Mountain is a nightmare to get in and out of. The New Hope location is a nice store but not convenient for me. Oh well, we'll just have to wait and see.

You cannot justify your decision on the primary in July. What is the population of this county now in 2010 compared to 2008 ? How many more young adults have turned 18 since 2008? Keep the polls open until 9pm so those that actually work full time, 5 days a week have a chance to vote early.

Not sure where to post this so you would see it so... I have a really nice display cabinet with a glass front and 2 glass shelves, it has 2 solid sliding doors in the back. It measures 5' wide, 3' high, 2' deep. Could you use it in your store ??

IMO: Stay away from Chase/formerly Washington Mutual !! They will fee you to death I closed my account there because they only have one branch (278 Hiram) that was convenient for me. I kept asking why they were closing all the branches and never got an answer. Oh well, bye bye then. BOA, Wells Fargo are big monster banks that don't give a crap and will also fee you to death. I bank at Region's and have never had a problem, I especially like the Dallas Hwy branch, the girls are very nice and helpful there, same with the Old Dallas courthouse branch. They still offer free checking.

Maybe if this county had a decent newspaper that could print the questions (that no one understands because they are written in lawyer lingo) and the actual ballot then maybe people would be better prepared when they get to the machine. Not everyone has a computer, especially the elderly and those that just can't afford it. It is a shame that we can't have a paper like the Marietta Daily journal. I will bet you any money that the county will blame US for the reduction in polling places. They are trying to save US money and that's what WE would have wanted or some bulls**t answer. I waited 2 hours to vote at Mt. Tabor. I agree with you, this county had better start finding new polling places and machines now for the 2012 election. All of my friends that voted in Cobb county last night waited less than 15 minutes !! They were laughing at me when I told them I was freezing my a** off waiting in line in the dark !! Sad situation we have. I hope the county addresses this and doesn't ignore our complaints.

My commute is the same route. I cannot understand why they are installing sidewalks on that section of road just before the cemetery, if there is enough land to do that then why don't they just 4 lane the damn thing ! My Dad passed away 20 years ago this June 22nd. His 85th birthday would have been May 31st. He fought in WWII and landed on the beaches at Normandy. The D-day anniversary was a big deal to me, I took out the photos my dad had taken during the war and looked at them over and over. He never spoke much about it but I know he brought home an awful lot of bad memories from that war. Ours too ! I got a letter from my mortgage company, they want an additional 350.00 for my escrow account by June 1st to cover "future" increases in my tax bill and homeowners insurance. My mortgage keeps going up and my taxes keep going up but my home value is in the toilet. It sucks.

I'm curious to know if anyone has had their home appraised recently in Paulding county. How much have home values dropped in 2 years ? Our taxes keep going up and our houses aren't worth what they used to be.

Had a 77' RS with 2 tone paint, black and orange, looked like a halloween nightmare, painted it fire engine red, got pulled over a lot. Loved that car! (had an 8 track in the dash !) yah, it was one of the coolest cars I ever owned.
