Just saying it may be worth a shot. I know when I worked at Liberty Mutual they would not write policies for people with certain breeds of dogs bc of this. Not saying it would work, but it may. I would think if you did not have insurance (you can file even with insurance) you could file a claim against them which would be on their HO policy. ( I think) (I know you were not on their property, but I think a dog that they own is still covered on their HO policy) You could always ask a P&C agent. I have not worked with homeowners in awhile so I am not sure. I do kno

Find out their homeowners insurance company and let them know. They probably are not allowed to have pitbulls and will make them get rid of it esecially if it has bitten.

I guess they are waiting until the dog kills someone. Stupid if you ask me. If a dog bites someone (not playing) and is aggressive at shelter- Lawsuit waiting to happen if you ask me. If I had a dog who bit someone I would be freaking out!
