  1. Two summers ago the next door neighbors dogs barked for hours and I couldn't sleep. At about 1:30 AM I decided not to let time go to waist, so I got up, jumped on the John Deer and started mowing the lawn. That's why they put headlights on them things.
  2. DARN IT! Why didn't someone tell me that when I was in High School?! I'm always the last to know...
  3. Dude, the only thing I can point out about the Post Office scenario is that both are employees. I would discourage inter-office/inter-agency relationships, but wouldn't suggest they be illegal. But aside from that, I don't think the Post Office hires attractive people.
  4. I understand your general point MCMM, but do you consider the unique circumstances of being "in charge" of another individual, whether that is in a detention or public school environment. I go back to the issue of "public trust" and what type of conduct is expected of government employees?
  5. As my FIL once said, and I actually agree, locks are only for honest people. But we still lock our doors.
  6. Okay, the question was: Amending the code to clarify that a student is "in the custody" of the teacher/school official to the same extent that an inmate is "in the custody" of law enforcement will remedy the issue and make it clearly a crime for a teacher to have sexual contact with students. It's really no more complicated than that.
  7. Not writing a new law, only clairify the "in custody" issue in the existing law. If a teacher is aware that they may not only lose their job, but go to jail for being involved with a student, the raging hormone storm may subside a little.
  8. The only thing I can add is that my next door neighbor's dogs HATE my leaf blower.
  9. "For the first time in my adult life, I am disappointed in Maxim Magazine".
  10. I am satisfied that this loop hole in the code section will be closed, especially in light of this particular case getting attention. Someone had mentioned that the Cobb DA should have known that this case wouldn't fly. I feel he was aware of the code section and the good possibility that the prosecution wouldn't be successful, but what better way to amend the current law than to draw the public's attention to it. I don't care what people do in the private sector, but teachers should be held to a higher standard, just as LEO's are. It's a public trust issue and a citizen should at least b
  11. (j/k) CA. I know how you feel. One summer my whole right arm was doing that to the point I couldn't work my full time job. Thankfully, Home Depot hired me on a temporary basis to replace their broken paint shaker.
  12. Thanks. Reading this explanation made my eye start twitching. Do y'all have any jumper cables in the garage?
  13. Dad could just put a Hot Load through him and tell the jury he gave consent to be shot.
  14. If'n I was or If'n I wasn't, it sure felt like it in high school.
  15. Hay, maybe I can get the group on PCOM TV after all!
  16. The first one I'm getting is the Pull My Finger app.
  17. These comments are good to hear. The screen on the DROID is HUGE compared to my blackberry and I won't need a microscope to text or dial.
  18. That's one of the reasons I went to a Verizon store to check it out. It is heavier than any cell that size that I have held. It's not much larger than the iPhone, but it feels twice the weight. I personally like that. Some of the reviews I read mentioned the weight. Some people liked it and obviously some didn't. I won't get it until around Christmas, but if you don't buy a phone by then, I'll post more about it.
  19. Thanks You and Charlie know we'll keep a date open for you.
  20. I had enough snow and ice for a lifetime while living up north. I'd move to the Florida Keys right now if I could and never miss another flake!
