You should feel silly for saying that.

I sometimes say "CONservative" because their lies are both ubiquitous and harmful. They have the LEAST conservative fiscal records hands down. They seek to intrude into private behaviors. They are sort of control freaks. The thing they aren't most of all is conservative. If you watch, say MSNBC and FOX for any extended period, you will notice bias from both organizations. But, the number of outright lies are very common on FOX and please, humor me, find one outright lie from MSNBC. Bias, yes....from both. Lies? FOX rules. Tell me a 25 year old "immortal" shouldn't have insurance. Tell

Got to admit that is just funny. Looking at Ann Coulter does it for me though it isn't her looks... it's the darkness of her soul.

Funny and comedic logical extension to the new idea that CONservatives should make some of your personal decisions and that in some universe it makes sense....just not this one. My ex-wife does lots of animal rescue and has way too many cats. They are all spayed/neutered and all but 2 or 3 live in the barn. Her sister actually found a "Crazy Cat Lady" action figure doll set. The doll is a woman in her housecoat and slippers with 2 or 3 kittens in the pockets, tousled hair, etc.

Or just save society money and have a young woman have a much better chance of becoming a highly compensated tax payer and/or more capable mother later on. Damn, you actually said something in support of a fiscally conservative idea.

Volunteer fire departments do a great job and do it without pay. The problem is, the resources are comparatively very limited compared to a full time fire department. Full time fire departments provide quicker response in a situation where quick responses means saving lives and property. Full time FDs also usually allow insurance companies to lower their rates since properties are generally less likely to burn. Just one more clear example proving that pooling money from everyone and providing the service to everyone is more fiscally efficient. Single-payer fire protection saves money

BTW, if the insurance companies have any hint of fiscal conservatism, I know the least expensive option is to cover BC without charging the employer. It would certainly be less hypocritical if they didn't cover Viagra and the like for men. Pro-birth control is anti-aboortzion. Being anti-birth control isn't exactly pro-aboortzion but it does make more of them happen. -

I knew you aren't all bad. -
Yes Bush was wonderful. You are so right. He was such a truthful decent fellow too.

Economic news? The latest economic news is that the 1st quarter was negative (by about 3%) growth partly because of an unusually bad winter (maybe you wintered in Hawaii and didn't know about that) and that the second quarter growth is expected to be about 4% positive. There.

The fake conservatives ruining the Republican Party today say no to fixing infrastructure. They know it would create lots of jobs and lay a foundation for future American prosperity. They don't want the country to do well economically until at least after the mid-terms. They probably want it to be put off until the 2016 elections. What great Americans this worst Congress in 5 generations are. The rectum blockages the Congressional Republicans have become hurt this country more every day.

We can't let those GD Irish in here. They are all just a bunch of drunks and wife beaters.

The Republican claim to success has been successfully slowing, forestalling and impeding the recovery by their unprecedented level of mindless obstructionism of almost anything Obama proposes....even when it was their idea not long ago. Party of Lincoln? Hardly. Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt would spit on the misguided at best yahoos ruining the Republican Party today.

GW Bush being elected TWICE proves there are many stupid, or really more likely, ignorant voters. The slow ones are the ones who haven't by now figured out that they voted against their country by doing so.

Mississippi Conservatives to "watch" Black voters.

I've been a poll watcher for (surprise) a Republican candidate. Seriously. I know....y'all thought..... Kidding aside, Republicans have been caught on video saying that the more voting they can prevent, the better chance they have of winning. In other words, the more Americans actually speak their minds at the voting booth, the worse Republicans do. Hmmmm. Voter fraud prevention is not the real goal of their "anti-fraud" efforts. -
Yes, I do. Still talk to one of them nearly day. I can't think of anyone in Iraq who "liked" Saddam Hussein....maybe his sons? He was a murderous SOB...but he was our murderous SOB till we cut him off. But life in Iraq, generally speaking for the typical Iraqi, was both more prosperous and free under that murderous bastard than it has been since the shrub GWB (thank you, fake conservatives) screwed the pooch so profoundly. I'm very unsure that even his oppressive murderous ways could have stopped the things happening since the Arab Spring. Where did you get the ridiculous n

I know Marines who were in Iraq and Afghanistan who agree with what Surepip said 100%. Another guy I know spent a year in Kurdistan (be is an ex-Marine and an ex-Legionnaire) training Kurdish security forces. He don't like Bush at all except that Bush's lies and idiocy made trouble in the middle east and has made him lots of money the past few years. The Arab Spring would have happened without Bush's lies. But because of Bush, they can with some legitimacy blame us for a big part of it, true or not. At least the Bush administration was fiscally successful....

The Brits have similar social situations to ours in the areas you mention. We have some strong cultural overlaps. Yet somehow they spend only 41% as much per capita as we do while providing good healthcare to everyone in their country. BTW, their system is the most socialist system with the most government ownership of healthcare infrastructure. The British system is a very different kind of single-payer system than Japan's single-payer system. And, they both work better than ours by comfortable margins. Should I remind you that people aren't ever bankrupted by medical bills in

Look, Japan has a higher percentage of health care providers that are for profit corporations than we do by far. There is one payer. Saves money, lives, prevents onerous complexity. I like appropriate mechanisms. If we really wanted to be even more stupid and even more broke, we'd get the government out of transportation, police protection, fire protection, etc but government does sometimes provide a less expensive more effective mechanism. BTW, if you want to be the rugged individual, there are the libertarian paradises like Rwanda where you can hire a private security force cause

So leaving a hopelessly complex, incredibly expensive, savagely inefficient system behind for a simpler, less expensive, splendidly humane and efficient system is bad to you? What you say is terrible is exactly what we already have. Hell, just copy Japan's or France's system. Both are beyond any doubt simpler, more efficient and more effective than our system. And aren't saving beaucoup money and lives both conservative values? Obviously to real conservatives, those things are core values. Did someone seriously state that mortality rates have little to do with healthcare? Su

Single-payer. Saves money, saves lives. Proven all over the world decade after decade.....proven since 1948 in Great Britain where they spend less than 45% as much as we do per person. Any knowledgeable true conservative should advocate for single-payer....which explains why most Republicans don't want it. (not all Republicans, some do have a clue....just a very small minority) What is surprising is how common this ignorance is. What a surprise. We Americans have the the most expensive healthcare, Americans die because of healthcare costs, some Americans lose everything

We knew they had the weapons then. Hell, we sold them the stuff. They bought from other folks too. But they had a long costly war with Iran, then the 1991 first Gulf War, and then after the first Gulf War, we and the Brits averaged bombing or other wise destroying Iraqi weapons with an average of one attack per week for about about twelve years. Then, by the time GWB was in office, we knew they didn't have any teeth. Saddam had to act like he had teeth because he wanted to not be attacked by us or any of his neighbors. So, he bluffed. We knew he was bluffing. GWB and Condaleeza Ric

I simply say give them a cause like WW2 instead of Viet Nam or Iraq. All of us old farts say this next generation is "gone boys, she's gone." Believe me, the old farts were saying it about the young'uns before WW2. -

I believe if this generation had a situation like WW2 presented to them, they would rise to it. WW2 was very different than our military actions since.
