Apparently her mother and her mothers boyfriend have her...sounds like the mom has custody. They put out the amber alert because the boyfriend is wanted for child molestataion. I didn't even know they could do that...I thought it had to be an actual kidnapping or missing child...as in missing from the guardians.

uh..no. We were going to live in there...but I have a friend that's a dispatcher and threatened harm if I had my child live there. Close, but not quite. Mine are really nice, just kids all over the place. The crying kid looking for his daddy ran past my balcony, with a bunch of kids following trying to catch him. Hubby and I had to grab our daughter (so she wouldn't take off too) and get outside before we could go after him. Nobody ever caught him, or saw him again. We called the cops, as well as three or four other parents that had seen him. They came out and searched with us, but n

Yeah, you got the lucky end. I've always told mom if I move into that neighborhood, I won't live past the 'big stupid trees' . You of all people know which ones I'm talking about...but I doubt you know why I call them that, because you never drive by them...lol. Past those trees, it's on and off again chaos. I've never seen that movie, but I did see a Cory in the video.

too true. Most of the stories I have are from people who don't live there anymore. Actually, most of them are in jail...or worse. When I was in middle and high school, there was a student (sometimes three or four) in every house there. That place was crazy...the parents just let the kids run wild. I'm glad my parents stuck it out through all that went on over there though, it's a very quiet little neighborhood now.

From what it sounds like it was a group of friends that went, and one of the kids is the one that we're calling the 'victim'. I can honestly say that when I was 14, if this happened to one in my group I would be rushing to the friend freaking out, not trying to get the tag number. Young teens don't often think of these things, and are prone to minor panic attacks in such situations. That being said, I'm 22 and am still not sure I would have thought clearly enough to get a tag number. Hubby on the other hand, would have left me in the parking lot and taken off after the car.
