  1. First let me say that I am going to the dr as soon as I get off work this afternoon, but I was just wondering if anybody else has ever had this to happen. Friday afternoon, I was walking on my hardwood floor into my bedroom wearing heels after work, and being the klutz that I am, I twisted my ankle. Just a tiny little twist and it didn't even really hurt. Saturday morning I woke up, and the little muscle on the back of my ankle beside my achilles tendon was sore like a bruise. No big deal, right? I kept going all weekend long, cleaning house, running up and down the stairs, doing wha
  2. Infection is a major concern. Jason was on iv antibiotics in the hospital, and came home on Keflex. He got a little red spot on his incision from the staples last week, and they put him on Bactrim, which he's finishing up now. ETA: As far as the laptop, you should get a mini. I love ours, and they are waaaaay cheaper! We only needed it for the internet anyway.
  3. Jason had it done on November 4th. He had the same issues as you...AVN & arthritis. His was soooo bad...the doctor said it was the worst hip he'd ever seen. He had no femoral head...it had eroded away! Today, he has NO pain from the hip. He has soreness, and stiffness of the muscles from the surgery itself (and because he can now use muscles that he hasn't used in 10 years or more), but that old, constant, grinding pain is GONE. I just told him 5 minutes ago when we were talking that I haven't heard him moan and groan when he sits down or gets up in over a week! His surgical e
  4. I bought my kids' Dick & Jane book at Wal-mart. It was a big hardcover one with lots of stories, and I think I paid like $10 for it 3 years ago. It's the same one that AJ posted above.

    Turkeys

For a 30 qt fryer, about 2.5-3 gallons is usually enough, depending on how big your turkey is. Make sure you do what the recipe suggests about measuring with water first. Never fill a turkey fryer over 3/4 of the way full, and make sure your turkey is completely thawed before you fry it!

    Turkeys

Fry it yourself...it's really easy. I've used Paula Deen's recipe for the past few years and it is awesome!! You can usually pick up a turkey fryer for around $30-40 at Wal-mart or Home Depot. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/paula-deen/deep-fried-turkey-recipe/index.html (Where it says "your favorite dry rub", I use McCormick's Rotisserie Chicken Seasoning.)
  7. Are they open for dinner? My grandmother loves vegetables, and she's always looking for a new place to go .
  8. We are doing this and are just now in the beginning planning stages. Keep watching for more information as the time gets closer. We plan to have it every weekend throughout October. There will be some vendors selling food and drinks, a moonwalk for the kids, and T-shirts being sold. Much more to come later. And as Gotcha Lookin' Good said, throughout the winter will be selling boiled peanuts and firewood.
  9. Bringing it back to the top for the night crowd.
  10. It is on 278 near the intersection at 61. If you are coming from Hiram, you will travel 278 going towards Dallas. Once you pass through the light at 61, look to your left. You will see the Health Dept. and the Chamber. You will have to pass them and go to the next light, and do a U turn and come back to it. Very simple to find. Jason will be there attending this also.

  12. LOL Maybe - if they were still in business, but I don't think they are doing that anymore. That's what I heard anyway. Could be wrong.
  13. Well, I don't like to think of kids doing without because others don't know the meaning of respect of others property. We have been extremely blessed this year. Xtreme will replace one of the bikes. BTW - Thanks for what you are doing.
  14. We went last night and a couple of people in our party enjoyed the steaks. Next time your in, look for our signs on the wall. If other businesses aren't aware of the great advertising opportunity at Rodney's, you should check it out. Thanks Rodney for allowing the local businesses to advertise in your establishment!! We are excited about it.
  15. Very cool. I wish you the best of luck.
  16. I heard this same call come through about a month ago. I never heard what happened after the call though.
  17. I did! I did!! I hope she is doing OK. It will do her good to get back to her normal routine. She has been on my mind a lot since you posted about her husband.
  18. I am sitting at work in Powder Springs, and heard a horrible crashing sound. I just went out and looked and some of our gutter was taken off and thrown across the parking lot. Totally took me by surprise.
  19. Wow! Very big line of storms crossing into Alabama now. I guess it just may get very bad for us later tonight.
