  1. Ya'll are too funny! He can't turn in his man card- he'd have to find it in his wife's purse first! :p

    :yahoo: :clapping: :friends: LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Now, that sounds like my husband :D

He'll admit to that most days.

Rev.Matt, Keep your card. You are one heck of a Man IMO if you had the guts to take care of a sick 11 month old and admit to all of Pcom that you cried over a movie. Kuddos to you.

  2. I would do as others have suggested and ask to speak to the owner of the company.

If they are a decent business person at all, they would eat the $10 and possibly get more customers.

Word of mouth, Especialy here on Pcom, is worth almost Everything.

Just curious, is this a local business????

  3. I found this at allrecipes.com

Ingredients:1/2 cup butter, softened1 cup creamy peanut butter3 tablespoons milk, or as needed2 cups confectioners' sugarDirections:1.Place the butter and peanut butter into a medium bowl, and beat with an electric mixer. Gradually mix in the sugar, and when it starts to get thick, incorporate milk one tablespoon at a time until all of the sugar is mixed in and the frosting is thick and spreadable. Beat for at least 3 minutes for it to get good and fluffy.

I found another easy one here

  4. We use Comcast for our cable internet and tv. We only have cell phones. We used to do the bundle with their phone, but when our year was up and they refused to take us back down to the intro price, we got rid of the phone. They ended up offering the lower price, but we had decided it wasn't worth it.

Honestly, I really wish there was some competiton in the cable business out here.

  5. I may actually get to join you all this week.

My youngest has a post op appt and if I can get the whole day off, I should be able to make it.

Shawna, I'll get directions to this place when I see you. I have never heard of it.

  6. I know he is just spreading his wings and showing his independence, but the boy needs to think before he speaks. I am really happy that he has adjusted so well to being away at school. I had doubts that he would ever be able to do it. It still doesn't change the way it feels when I hear him say that he can't wait to get out of here. The funny thing is that he will be alone when he gets back to the dorm because most of the kids are hime for the summer. Not to mention the student center closes most of the restaurants and stuff during the summer. He is taking a summer class. While he has been here he has been going to movies and hanging out with friends. I don't think it wil be as much fun going "home" as he thinks it will be.

I understand that and I was not trying to negate your feelings. He's a young man and he's proud of himself. Not thinking comes with the age.

Would it be possible for him to live at home and take this summer class? I'm sure you will hear all about how miserable he is when he realizes all that you have figured out. ((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))

  7. That is so sad, I'm sorry.

    Thanks.

It is simply a situation where the parents divorced and the primary custodial parent turned the child against the other parent.

If/when we ever find her again or she finds us, she will have a home with us and will do the best we can to help her if she needs it. Our youngest asks about her Big Sister regularly.

  8. As much as this hurts, please be thankful that you know where he is calling home and where he lays his head at night.

Some of us don't have that assurance. I have a 23 year old step daughter that we have not heard from in 4 years. We have no clue where she is, what she is doing, anything. She doesn't even know that her little (3yo) sister even exist.

Our family would be Thrilled to just know where she called "home".

Remember that as good parents, we raise our kids to be independent, self sufficent, law abiding, contributors to society. When they start being all those things, we know we have succeeded while we cry our tears.

  9. Are you serious , I can't believe you didn't get anything. what grade do you teach.

Desi got Sunshines teacher something kinda small everyday and then a bigger nicer one for Friday.

I'm sorry you didn't get anything here is you a HUG and a :give_rose:

    Ahh, Thank you.

    Nope, Not a Single thing.

The kicker was when my teammate was telling me how he was going to be enjoying all his gift cards at local resturants.

That is not why I went into teaching, but it nice to know that one is appreciated every now and then.

I didn't get Big One's Teachers anything, but I'll get them something nice at the end of the school year.

  10. Yep I got a present, and I have forgotten most of what I said yesterday LOL

    I never ignore you,

    That happens to me alot...LOL

Presents??? Did someone say presents???? Poor little me didn't get a Single thing for Teacher Appreciation Week. Sure would be nice to know that Pcom appreciates some of the teachers on here..especially us "special" ones

  11. Isn't Holly Springs a long ways away from Over Look S/D on Hwy 278????

The EMS from the station by the Kroger was probably called to it. I know they had the sirens and horns going Crazy not long ago.

Is it just me or does it seem like life flight is coming out here more and more? I just don't remember them coming out here that much until somewhat recently.

  12. I can't this Thursday. I will in the next couple of weeks though.

He can't be there because he has a date with some very fine ladies..including his own :D .

I'm going to add that to my hubby's Honey Do List for when he gets home from work. Lord knows he needs as much exposure to the Mason's as possible :p . He has a petition sitting here at home for the Dallas Lodge.

Heigh ho Silver, could you maybe help with convincing him to turn it in SOON?????? I would love to have him join me next year  .

  13. Thank you for that. YOu are a dear friend to me. Maybe one day we will get to meet in real life.

After meeting my husband on line, meeting many many friends on line, and about to earn a Masters degree from an online program, I understand how important a computer can be.
