We live in Logans Crossing, just off 278/61 and it fell here as well. Covered our front porch.
When my hubby went to pick the baby up in Burnt Hickory he said it had covered the entire front porch there and it headed this way.
The weather is weird lately.
If we are going to be getting out of school in 29 school days the least the weather can do is to warm up.

Friedman's Jewerly is also closing up all their stores.

I do feel for all those people that are loosing their jobs. For many of them, I'm sure retail is the only thing they know. The worst part is, with summer coming upon us, now they have to compete with all the teenagers and teachers that will be looking for summer jobs as well.

Seems like every time we take the camper out it rains.
We will be headed out to AL with it this time to see my in-laws.
Regardless, I will not be upset to see this pollen washed away. I've put off washing my car just because of this rain coming in.

I saw the traffic backed up when we were turning onto Hwy 278 coming out of our neighborhood.
Prayers going up for all of them.
Soooo sad.

We missed the egg hunt...sounds like that was a good thing. But my daughter truly enjoyed the pony ride and jumping thing.
I really appreciate these kids and parents taking their Sat. so that others can enjoy these activities.

I was wondering if anyone knows what happened yesesterday on 278 W .....past Academy/Venoy Aiken Rds? I think it was around 1pm. Traffic was backed right up to the Academy dr intersection.

I'm still a little new. What is a signal 48? From what I am reading it mean fatality? Does anyone know the ages of those involved? Prayers going up for the families.

I did know Larry, but his daughter Tia was my daughter daycare teacher. If Tia is any example of what her Dad was, then he was an awesome man.
Tia, you and your family are in our prayers. Your dad fought a loonngg hard battle and I'm sure it was not easy for him to give it up and leave you, your girls, your mom, or your sisters behind.

Speaking of the school board, my school admin, asked us to sign Thank you cards for those on the school board Thanking them for all they have done.
There were some interesting comments made about that from those teachers that live in this county.

We live West of the poop fields, not far from Matthews, and even we had to deal with the stinch yesterday. This is Ridiculous!!!!!! The stinch in the morning is sooo bad that I've considered fighting the Hiram traffic on 278 all the way to 92 just to go around it. That would add quiet a bit more time to my drive, but on most days, it would be worth it.
Some of the Powers That BE in this county have go to do something soon!!!!!!

My brothe rwould have graduated form McEachern in 1991, but he was in a car accident and has severe head injury.

Our daughter attends Burnt Hickory Child Care on Hwy 61 towards Cartersville. They charge $130 per week or $520 per month for an infant The owners and teachers there are Wonderful. I drive at least 20 miles out of my way every morning to take her there. The owner does criminal background checks on all of the employess. The teachers treat our daughter like she is their own child. I simply can not say enough good about this day care.
Their phone number is 770-443-2883 and the owner is Dawn Wilhem. The owner is there in the classrooms and interacting with all of the kids every day.
I was very leery of daycares when our daughter came along. Our year old son was always kept by in home providers or my mom.

Both of these families are in my prayers. I drive 61 every morning taking my daughter to daycare. I can't help but to think of these families.
Has there been any updated news on the other driver?
This mom is such a courageous and selfless person. I simply can not imagine lossing any of my kids.
Thank you to those of you that have kept the rest of us updated. It is Greatly appreciated.
Does anyone know if Northside Elementary is going to do anything for the family?

This mess is going to keep on tempting us until we have another blizzard of 93.
I agree with others that those temps sound too warm to really do anything. This past weekend was a Real let down.

Does anyone know why all the police and such were in there on Monday night?
I passed by there and there were several law inforcement cars and such.
A friend of mine told me there were gun shots fired.
