How far along are you in your pregnancy?

  2. Good Morning.

I'm up and going with a nasty back ache. I'm almost tempted to go get one of those thermacare heating things for it.

I think we are going to sneak over to the neighborhood pool today.

  3. I saw it this morning....let's just shoot all the tobacco farmers between the eyes and grow our own tobacco. Interestingly enough, the REPS were against this bill. The economy is in the tank, big tobacco brings in TONS of money into our economy, not just from selling smokes to us, but all over the world. Anyone with half a fiscal brain could solve this problem very quickly---by leaving the cig companies alone, and legalizing (and regulating) marijuana just like tobacco and taxing the crap out of it. We could bail our country out of debt in a matter of 2-3 years.

The rebuttal? Health care costs......yeah right. Weigh that against the ungodly amount of revenue already being reaped from tobacco alone. I don't recall one instance of domestic abuse or overdose problems from either one....yet alcohol rules and reigns worldwide, spare the Muslim countries who are against it. Kinda makes us look pretty stupid and hypocritical when you think about it.

    I agree.

In regards to his president and his cronies running this country into the ground....Don't blame me :D ...I didn't vote for him and am still Ticked as hell that he's in office.

  4. Yes, I have single friends of the opposite sex and so does my DH.

Due to his work and his personality, he doesn't go out to lunch with them or have a need/desire to hang out with them.

I, on the other hand, do have the opportunity to go out with single males...usually several of married and single people in a group...to lunch during pre/post planning and work days. My dh does not have a single problem with it. No questions at all.

We trust each other. We love each other very much, have each other too spoiled, and are too darn old to train another spouse.

I will say that we have a single friend, his ex gf before we met, that I wouldn't be surprised if she tried something on him if she could ever get him out without me, but I know that my dh would have none of it and end the friendship completely once she crossed the line.

  5. We have had a huge drop in fatalities and wrecks up here, I don't know if it was because of the conversations on here or just the numbers, but we got a lot of support up here from PCSO and State patrol for a good 6 months and I can tell you it made a huge difference, I am very grateful for their presence IMO it has saved a lot of lives.

Hubby and I travel that road...61N and S from the courthouse towards C'Ville....2 round trips daily and we have dramatically slowed down our driving. We were one of the unfortuate first ones to come upon one of the fatal accidents, this July will be 2 years ago, and that had a very big impact on how both of us handle that road.

I'm glad to hear that no one was hurt tonight.

  6. Cleaning the house is a give and take item.

I do a lot of other things in the house that although I might not do the bathroom. I do all the car repairs.

When was the last time you changed the oil in the car? fixed the slow leak in the tire, painted the front porch, mowed the grass, put down the 5 tons of rock in the flower beds. Etc.

Not saying my wife does not help out here and there and I don't do some inside chores here and there

But we do have a share the work relationship.

When was the last time you changed the oil did you put everything back in it's place and cleanup and drops of oil and put all the tools back where they belonged and took the old oil to the auto store etc perfectly?

Just because it is not to your specs on cleaning does not mean he did not try.

That is the way our house works for the most part. I do expect some help with laundry and such while I'm in grad school.

  7. I just checked on CNBC and it sold for 72.32 a gallon today. That was actually down .36 from yesterday.

Don't scare me like that. We struggled when it was $4 a gallon. We would be held captive at home if it went to $9.

  8. He is so CUTE! Maybe he heard the music your station plays while he was in your womb and now he remembers it? There are actually studies being done on this. :)

That is exactly what I was thinking.

He is adorable. Spoil that lil man all you can. We still rock our 3 year old to sleep when we are home. But then, I've never heard of a 10 year old that has to be rocked to sleep and we are getting signs from our little girl that we don't have much longer to have this special time with her.

  9. I educate middle school students in this county as well as being a graduate students for 18 more days, and raising/influencing my own brood that will definitely make a difference in this world one day.

  10. Too bad it couldn't have been my house in Paulding. I don't think we'll ever be able to sell it any point in the future.

PM me with info/pictures of your house. We are outgrowing our 16x 80 mobile home and are looking to purchase our home. Word That Apply is helping us go through the process.

We have had our heart set on a house, but didn't have our act together with the financial part...in the mean time, others have found our treasure and it looks like we waited too long.

Maybe I'll be good luck to you.

  11. Mount Tabor Park has been offering belly dancing classes for over 6 years now. You can choose from either a Wedneday night class or a Friday night class. Cost is $46 for once a week for a six week session. Class is at 7pm and the group even performs from time to time. You are not required to if you don't want to however.

Call Mt. Tabor at 770-505-3885 as a new session begins next week, June 17th or 19th.

When does the next class start?

  12. My dad passed away 6 years ago on June 8 from colon cancer. That was very hard on all of us, but particularly hard on my mother, who had been fighting breast cancer since 1996. This past January, doctors found cancer in all her bones, she developed a brain tumor in April, and by May 23, she was gone. Today it will be two weeks since her funeral.

I don't think I will ever get over this completely.. it's been rough...

    Emily

My heart goes out to you. I lost my mom just over 8 months ago and my heart still hurts every day. It may hurt a little less, but I don't think you ever get over loosing one parent, much less both of them.

Know that you are not by yourself. PM me if you need a person to "talk" to.

  13. Don't feel bad. I'm 5ft 3.5 inches and about as round as I am tall B) .

From the looks of my youngest...only the animals in the house are going to be as short as me :D

My Momma always told me that dynamite comes in short packages and I'm not about to disprove her now...just ask some of my former students :D :p

  14. Best of luck to you. I have no doubt that you will be fine.

I remember my student teaching....Fall of 1991. I was in a second grade gen ed class. To make a long story short, it was a Diaster. I had the very Worst university supervisor that anyone could ask for. I ended up with a B. Thanks to this lady, I'm not bothered by anyone that comes into my classroom. I figured that I've already survived the worst I can ever get.

In the end, the lady was right....I am more of an upper grades type of person and have a true love of special education.

Let us know how it goes. PM me if I can be of any help to you.
