I love this and I want this. Not to mention that my Sailor son eats us out of house and home when he gets home.
My best friend is Kathy. She is a cancer survivor but has been diagnosed with lymphoma so we are back to battling and beating the cancer again.
I love it that you all are much closer to me how

My Sailor son and a buddy are coming home for Thanksgiving. The one food my son has requested is homemade mac and cheese. The problem is, the only mac n cheese I've ever made is out of a box and that just will not do for this Thanksgiving.
That being said, please share your favorite and Easy homemade mac n cheese recipe.
Thanks

Heaven got a very sweet man when Mr. Bobby arrived there. He always had a kind word to say and never complained about anything. His family is in my prayers.
Rest in Peace Mr. Bobby, now all of your pain is gone.

We who have lost our mothers understand the heartache you feel right now. It amazed me when it happened how much it really did hurt. That is a pain that does not go away, eases a little, but does not go away. I'm sure you feel at peace though that she did go quickly and doesn't have to be in pain any longer. My mother appeared to me in a dream several months after she passed and told me that she was "finally home", so you are right in saying that she went home. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers and I send you my deepest condolences. God bless you.
My deepest condolences to you too. I hope you got to see your mom before she passed. Prayers for comfort for you and your family also.
I could not have said it better.
I lost my mom just a little over 2.5 years ago. Even now, I almost dialed her number the other day to tell her something and just the other night, cried myself to sleep wanting to talk to and hug her.
Both of you will be in my prayers. I'm here if either of you just want to talk....sometimes that is want you need most...to talk about and tell someone about her.

What kind of a children's book selection do you have?
I have a 4 yo that would enjoy some new books with some of her Christmas money.

Mom's Hamburger Casserole.
Ingredients:
1 lb groundbeef/chuck
2 cans pork n beans
2 cups shredded cheese...your choice of which kind....I prefer colby jack. Reserve approx 1/4-1/2 c of this cheese to put on the top
1 c BBQ sauce...I use Williams Brothers
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Brown approx. 1 lb grond beef/chuck with some dried onion....and drain.
Spray a 8x8 or even 9x13 casserole dish with non stick spray
In a mixing bowl, mix together browned meat, 2 cans of pork n beans, and cheese, and BBQ sauce.
Pour into prepared casserole dish.
Sprinkle reseved cheese on top.
Bake at 350 for approx. 20-30 min....until cheese on top is melted.
Disclaimer....this is one of the Very few times this recipe has actually been written down. This is something I grew up with and learned it by watching my mom make it ( my recipe for cornbread is the same way).
I serve this with mashed potatoes on the side.

The Hiram game was quiet somber.
There was a moment of silence for Jordan Fitsgerald, the 9th grader that died this week. The cheerleaders's banner honored her and the football players ran around it. The band dedicated their show to her and the drum major release a balloon that had held her spot in the stand for the first half of the game at the end of the half time show.
Next week, is the Hiram Hillgrove game at HHS.

The family is in our thoughts and prayers. Jordan was a valuable member of the Band of Gold. My son told me a short bit ago that the Band will be wearing black ribbons in her Honor at tomorrow's game and Sat.'s competition.
To the family, if you need Anything, Please let the Band of Gold know. We are here for you. Jordan was very special to us.

My prayers go out to this family. I can not even imagine the pain and heartache they are going through at this time.
