  1. That was on the news, too. They are being investigated and no statement is yet available. The I-Team said they would report as soon as the investigators made a determination.

It simply sounds to me like the organization has grown "too big for its britches" without the proper financial controls in place to ensure the necessary compliance. It is concerning that The Wyclef Jean organization gets little to no mention at all on some of the main charity evaluation websites. I would be highly skeptical about giving to that particular organization.

  2. more information about texting 'haiti' 90999 to donate $10 and for donating through wyclef's foundation.

Give on the Go, Yele’s mobile application service provider announced that Haiti-born hip-hop musician Wyclef Jean’s Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund has raised $2 million via text messages – cellphone users can donate $5 to this fund by texting the word “Yele” to 501501.

There have been questions asked about Wyclef's charity...http://music.msn.com/music/article.aspx?news=452067&GT1=28102

  3. I've given up. I'm getting started on my new years resolution of sticking to things that I'm good at, and leaving everything else to the professionals!

I am terrible at painting, especially around the ceiling and trim. I have two rooms and two hallways that need to be touched up. I have all of the paint, all I need is someone to do it.

I would prefer a highly recommended local over a company, but I'll listen to all offers. This project should be completed in less than a full day, by my estimate, and I will be around to help move any furniture.

    PM me please.

    Thanks!

  4. We appreciate the support we are continuing to receive from the vast majority of you. Even those who can not visit us anymore because of having children seem to understand the necessity of the situation.

We appreciate your continued support, well wishes, and prayers. It means more than you know.

I wish y'all nothing but the best and success. I hate the new smoking policy and am not thrilled about the format change, but I'll stop by for a beer to simply "support the cause".

Are there plans to add an improved exhaust system or at least divide the dining room from the bar?

  5. Dateline: Hiram, GA.

A large truck was seen driving north on Waters Rd towards Lake Ramona around 7:15 PM (EDT) carrying a front end loader on its trailer. Some time later, the truck returned southbound on Waters Rd without the heavy piece of machinery. Could this be the start of repairs to the bridge that spans Lake Ramona? Local homeowner John Bob Jones commented that the repairs would be a blessing to the community. "Shucks, I done drive up there every darn day to see if its open. Sometimes I drive around to the Nebo Road side to see if its open up thataway, but shoot, I haves to turn around every dad gum time".

Stayed tuned for further details as they are made available.

  8. During my year and a half on Paulding.com, I've utilized the services of many commerce members, and I'm afraid that I haven't said 'thank you' enough. Every single one of you has been professional, courteous, and proficient in your trade. Here is a list of companies/individuals whom I've been extremely impressed with, and I promise you that I will be coming back the next time I need service:

    Hale Automotive (John, you're fantastic)

Hairazor (Jeanette, my wife loves visiting you)

Holden Trucking (It was great meeting the Holdens, they have great attitudes)

A Friendly Geek (Mike, thanks for coming out and saving me from nasty viruses!)

MacFarlanes Olde Towne Grill (Great food!)

All Pro Glass Man (Eric, thanks for coming out and fixing my neighbor's window after some moron ^_^ kicked up a rock while mowing)

Cobb Air (What's cooler than being cool? Ice cold...and thanks to Buddy, that's exactly how my AC is working now and I love it)

Paulding Humane Society (We love our adopted dog Venus, the best dog I've ever had, and she's still a puppy)

Royal Pet Resort (Just a fantastic place, we'll trust you with Venus after the 4th of July, and I'm certain she'll have a great time)

    C. Mark Willix (It was great to meet you, and I've heard nothing but great things, even from other realtors...and yes, I'll get out to MacFarlanes one of these days)

Jump 4 Joeys (Can't keep my daughter away, she loves it!)

Stars & Strikes (Even though I can't bowl to save my life, my little family enjoys our time there)

I hope I haven't missed anyone...and I'm sure there will be many more commerce members in the future that we'll call upon.

Thank you again for your excellent service, and keep up the great work.
