Have fun, don't let people get you down- we never all see eye to eye but we are always here to help each other out when in need. W

  15. I am so blessed to have a roof over my head and heat to stay warm by. We have a gentleman coming to our church ( first came for the food pantry-now comes to church there) that has had no eletricity so I am real concerned about him as it is getting cold weather. I am trying to find a way to help him get it back on, before COLD weather gets here. So although it feels good to me I feel so bad for people who are having to live without.

    Tax question

Ok so the organization does not have to know what it is worth? Or what the donor puts on their taxes? Are you suppossed to list every item that is donated?
  19. When someone donates to a 501C3 and gets a tax write off, who ( if anyone) determines the value of the donation? I went in the new good will store and asked about their policy on this and they said they do not write an amount on the receipt. So my question is at tax time when you turn it in how do you know what the value is? This has come up at out church as well. But how is it then a tax write off if there is no amount on the paper? Please someone explain this to me. TIA
  20. Yes our church is in the office building right behind there. We can see it from our parking lot. And it is bad. I feel so sad for the owners. We are still having our yard sale this Sat. we have been assured it is safe on our side. But it is sad for th owners and workers there.
  21. Everyone that has seen the cards loves them. Thanks again.
