  1. in ga its the county that the divorce was granted in .but they wont go more than 28% of his and your gross income combined after the first of the year..... mine tried this last year and didnt get very far as she refuses to let anybody in our family see either of the kids. cost her instead..

Where the case will be heard depends on many things.

    1. If you go through Child Support Enforcement they will hear the case where the children reside.

    2. If you go through an attorney the case could be heard in a) where the children reside. B) where the divorce took place and the original order was filed. or c) where the non-custodial parent resides.

My ex-husband lives out of state and when I went to file for a modification my attorney recommended that I go through CSE so that I did not have to go to the state he lives in. The orginal order for Child Support is in Newton Co. however after filing with CSE for the modification I went to court here in Paulding County.

  2. I was at work the other day and my hubby had been there all day working with me. He left to go to his regular job and left his phone on the table. I noticed it about the time he pulled out of the parking lot I looked over at the girls that were there working and said "Hubby left his phone, I guess I need to call and tell him."

  3. huummmm

I am on my third marriage

I am self employeed and people think because you are you are wealthy

I have two children of my own and two step children that live with us

I was raised in Mableton and Douglasville (Winston) and moved to Paulding Co in 1993

I am paranoid about sleeping in a bed that is not my own

I ran away from home at 16 and got married and NO I was not pregnant

I could REALLY use a vacation from my kids

  4. I want someone to make a custom decal. Does anyone know where I might can have one made? I am looking for one to go on a bedroom wall and all of them I have been able to find are the smaller ones that go on car windows.

  5. Ok your truly is totally flipping out over here. I start my new classes today. They are Legal Writing and Research and Intro to Psychology. I think I am going to actually have to work this time. I am so scared of these classes now that I have looked at them to see what was what. I dont know. I just cant get my thoughts togethere here. I was thinking that they would be a little hard and fun. I still think they will be fun but I do believe that they are going to fry my few brain cells. I know I just need to get into the groove of it and hopefully it will all be fine. Wish me luck you guys. Im scared.

Where are you in school at? When I took the intro to psyc at Chatt Tech we had lots of fun.

  6. I read the thread started about this yesterday. My son called this morning and told me that Adam had been killed yesterday in a car accident, bless his heart he is in shock and so shook up. My son and Adam have been friends for a very long time. They were both in JROTC together. He was such a good kid. He will be missed by many.

  7. I don't believe you're confused as you recited the problems pretty accurately. Only thing is, the judge has said in the past, that even if this guy is not complying she has NO RIGHT to with hold visitation. She still has to uphold her end of the deal, and she does.

You are correct in saying that she can not withhold visitation, he can pick up the child without paying any child support.

What I might suggest is that your sister go back to court and ask for supervised visitation. Since your sister has already been to court one time for contempt on the ex the judge may see that he has not corrected the situation and make a ruling in her favor.

  8. My opinion is that it should not be what your jr/sr prom is. It is the 8th grade for crying out loud.

I think what most people have stated is that they did thier daughters hair/nails/makeup at home and a nice evening/cocktail dress is appropriate attire.

My problem is that my daughters real mom (I am the step-mom whom she lives with) thinks that we need to go "all out" for this event. She wants us to buy her the long formal "prom" dress etc. I just don't see it. Doesn't it take away from the jr/sr prom when it comes?

  9. My daughter will be going to the 8th grade formal this year and although it is still a ways away this has been the topic of conversation for over 2 weeks now.

    My questions are this-

What do you think is appropriate attire for this event? A long formal "prom" style dress, a short evening style dinner dress? what? What about a strapless dress for the event? (personally I think 8th grade is to young for that but that is just my opinion.

Would you allow your daughter to have her hair, nails and make-up done by someone?

  10. I am an avid outdoors-woman who loves to hunt so I always hate to see our hunting land disappearing; however, my concern is this:

Why should only Paulding County residents be required to put money toward the purchase of land that can and will be used by sportsman all over the state who are purchasing a WMA stamp?

While I hate to loose any more hunting land than we already have in the past couple of years I really think their is another way to raise the money for the purchase of this land. Why not add a fee to all WMA stamps sold in the state? For those that wish to use the land for horseback riding etc, why not have them also have to purchase a permit for land use?

I surely don't pretend to have all the answers but I do think together we could come up with something better than another property tax increase.

  11. My son just bought his first home and is moving out. I would like to give him a house warming party. What is proper for this type of thing. Does he registar somewhere for items that he is still in need of, does one even bring a gift for the new home owner? What has been your experience?

    Help!!

  12. The Paulding County ROTC is a great program. My son was a part of it when he went to PCHS and LTC Baker could not be better. When my son left PCHS for the GA National Guard program he finished high school at LTC Baker was his mentor. He is such a wonderful, caring and giving man.

I can not wait for the program to begin at the new SPHS. My now 9th grader is so looking forward to being part of JROTC.
