I think our county is ready for real news. The fact that the best selling paper in town is the one where it reports who got arrested shows how much info. we crave. Wouldn't it be nice to read WHY the person was arrested? It is great to know who is getting married and having a birthday but I also want to know why the cops surrounded the neighbors house and what had traffic backed up for hours. I do not think I am the only one who feels this way.

The statistics aren't looking that bad. If this is any indicator 1 in 4 people would purchase a weekly paper. I think that is probably more than what is currently buying what is out there.

True. I do believe there is still a market for printed news. I never knew that about Pubby, interesting.

I had a conversation with a gentleman today who was wondering why Paulding didn't have a true newspaper. While we are not slamming the Dallas paper, most would admit that it does not report "news". I told him I get most of my news from here. He wants to know how many people would buy a local "news" paper. SO...tell me what you think.

I don't remember the name, just that he is near the Courthouse and Audreys. I will try to find name and number tomorrow.

There is a place near the new courthouse that sells used restaurant equipment. Perhaps he has one.
