Great news feed. What I find most disturbing is this was in broad daylight. The kids were being sent home early from school. Thank God that no little ones were hurt during this. Way to go PSCO.

I am normally one who thinks school should be called if there is a chance of trouble. BUT...today was no where near as bad as the last storm in my opinion. I do not see why people are making an issue of today...there was no harm.

I have raised my son by myself his whole life. No child support...or government money. He knows about our finances. He is 14 now and knows the value of a dollar. He is already asking if he can get a part time job to make some extra money. I think in my situation it is okay to reveal my finances. I am NOT saying this is the right thing for every family. On a funny note...We went shopping when he was about 9 at a grocery store, when the cashier told us the total he said, "Mom, let's leave this here...we can get the same things for $20 less at the other store." He was right.

Well, I heard that due to the predictions of a possibility of having anywhere between 2 flakes and 4 flakes that we are gonna play it safe and go ahead and take a snow day. No need to wait til the last minute to decide.

Thank you for posting that. I tell people about that snow day and they think I'm crazy. It was April 15th and we got hit hard in Marietta. As for this week.....bring on the snow, let me be iced in on Wed. and then let it all melt away and be done with for the year on Thursday.

I have several things to say after reading this topic: 1)Praying for everyone involved 2)There is a hotel going in there?.........................stupid idea. Just sayin 3)Ain't NO WAY I would drop off my teenager and leave. My son is 14 and we go occasionally. I either go in the restaurant and let him go play OR I take a book and stay in the car for an hour. I believe teenagers need some time away from their parents....but I ain't gonna be far. Even at the movies. If he goes...I go. I won't sit with him or bother him, but I will PARENT him.

Wow. .....and there shall be earthquakes in divers places. It amazes me how something that happened in Japan can affect Chile. Now, if Hawaii is hit that is really close to home.

Fox news must have read my topic. They just stated that Japan is more than 5,ooo miles from Chile but that in the past when Chile had a big earthquake it had ripple effects all the way to Japan. So, did the Japan earthquake affect Chile? Praying for those involved. They also said the Chile quake is 1,000 times more powerful than the one in Haiti....wow.

We have been hearing info. about the earthquake in Chile this morning. Wasn't there also one in Japan yesterday? What was the outcome with Japans? Also, since I am no geography expert, about how far apart are Chile and Japan? Thanks
