This is a great idea. I can stop paying my mortgage and save that money, plus rent it out and make some money, and then I can even take an extra $2000 if I spend some time cleaning up the place. I just ran some numbers. It's taking banks a year to foreclose. So, I could rent my house for fair price and stop paying my mortgage the day the new tenants move in. By the time the bank forecloses, I could net $30,9000 from saved payments and rental income. And, then I can short sell and only have a 2 year impact to my credit. This is so screwed.

So...banks are now paying owners to stop paying their mortgages? And then the government pays the banks because they do stupid crap like this. Sure they save on clean up costs, but those clean up companies also stimulate the economy...a lot more than someone taking an extra couple months to make sure it's "broom clean". Bufuddled.

Has anyone been watching this develop? I watched the WSB special the other day - it's pretty neat! I'm pretty excited to see what it does for the city. They just sold City Hall East and plan to redevelop it into mixed use housing. I must say, that could just make me move back to the city. I love that building!!! I also LOVE the Old Fourth Ward. If nothing else, it's going to make going to the city a lot easier.

And now ya have to rewash the towels. I wash me and SO's clothes down here, but he doesn't wash clothes up there...so, he dry cleans everything. Makes me so crazy. I don't want my comfy Georgia sweatshirt to feel like cardboard!

My insurance company wants to fault me for an accident last month. I want to appeal this, is that possible? It's only $7K total for both car repairs, but I don't want to be at fault because it could affect my premiums. Is it worth it, or do the insurance companies laugh at $7k claims?
